Do you ever wonder if there's someone watching you from an alternate plane of reality? If that person was (through a strange interface between his reality and ours) controlling our every move, making our decisions for us, etc? Do you think that for is, this could possibly be the case?

If I could, I would take your life.
A Kansas City Shuffle is when everybody looks right, you go left.

It's not something people hear about.

Christ, that sounds boring. If I were that guy I would have gotten sick of playing long ago.
I don't know how to be sexy. If I catch a girl looking at me and our eyes lock, I panic and open mine wider. Then I lick my lips and rub my genitals. And mouth the words "You're dead."

Nope, I gave up having my own life when I got engaged.

Eh, I had a good run.

How do you know the world of that guy isn't really, really boring?

Even more boring than our lives.

A ringing phone has to be answered, doesn't it?
Once more into the breach, my friends, once more. We'll close the wall with our dead. In peace, nothing so becomes a man as modesty and humility, but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger, summon up the blood, disguise fair nature with rage and lend the eye a terrible aspect.

Assuming you mean a truly different dimension (say, a 5 dimensional person watching us 4 dimensional folks), then it's not really that different than us reading a comic book. There'd be a question of whether or not they'd even perceive us as being alive.

No. I let the phone ring without answering all the time.

You know, actually, I don't. Why? Because if it's true, I can't do a damn thing about it. And no, I seriously doubt this is the case that could be possible for our existence. There's no point in even arguing about it since we can't use even concrete evidence for it, even philosophers need foundations in examples.

So no. There is no crazy big brother who is controlling everything you do. Every fuck up you make and every big victory you have is YOUR fault. Fate is bullshit. Extra Planar control, give me a break.

So the next time you think about doing something, remember that you, are definately, thinking about it.

If such a being had control of us down to the level of the decision-making process, would we be able to tell the difference?

Heh heh heh. Who says that the person controling us (if there is one) really has all that much control?

Ever been playing in a RPG (tabletop or chat type) where you KNOW you don't want to have your character do something, but you do it anyway because that's just what the character would do? Same thing here, sometimes the person in control will find themselves having the choices taken out of their hands by the nature of the person they're controling.

So, you are who you are. If someone high above humanity is controling you, that doesn't change anything.

I believe in the existance of magic, not because I have seen proof of its existance, but because I refuse to live in a world where it does not exist.
