Yesterday I went to look at my new house on base, and the guy that was moving out of it was still there. He is moving to Italy Monday and he asked me if I wanted his dog because otherwise he would be putting him in the pound.
One look at this little guy and I was in love. I couldn't let him go to the pound! My husband has been really wanting a dog anyway, and this little guy is only 9-10 months old, and super smart, already kennel trained and potty trained.. plus he is really well-mannered which for *me* is a huge plus because I am a cat person and I need a dog that isn't spazzy.
Since our first anniversary is the 21st , I was like OMG weee present! Plus the dog already knows the dogs on either side of our house, and he will recognise the house when we move back into it at the end of the month.
Now all we need is a better name for him than Ali.
What kind of dog is he?
And when can I come down there and abduct him?
He has lowrider legs and a long body with a fluffy tail that falls over his body, and "bad hair-day" hair on his back. It goes every which way.

That is what REALLY made me mad about his previous owners. They knew they were getting orders to Italy for a LONG time. They had plenty of time to find him a good home, but they waited until two days before they left and decided to dump him in the pound.
I am just really glad that I was there.
Josh's name suggestion today.. Kimchee! HAHHA! I almost died laughing at that because I LOVE Kimchee so much, and when UBT called me today I told him that and he didn't go for that idea AT ALL! hahaha
My suggestion.. CHIPOOTLE!! He seems to like that word, it makes him happy and tail-waggy.. it might be a runner-up
UBT had a ton of DBZ names, but I told him only Picallo is really cute enough for a dog like that. Then he had names like Baldur and Ragnor and Titan.. OMG HE IS A LITTLE LOWRIDER DOG! hahahahah!!!
Bagdad Bob doesn't work because UBT isn't there.. but maybe Pakistan Pete? haha
I also considered Sam I Am.. so that would kinda be anming him after you Parcie-poo.. or I could just name him Poo!

He looks like those Furry PEZ dispensers they had a bit ago, the stuffed animal ones!

And yeah. I don't like seeing animals go to the pound. Especially older animals, 'cause they're less likely to be adopted and more likely to be killified... rrgh. Keeping my Mollymonster for ever and ever.
