Yea seriously, if you don't go for a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 or a Radeon 9500. That'd be my choice. The GeForce 2 cards aren't too great for many new games, crawling framerates when I still used mine.

What's this thing do?
That would be sooo cool if it wasn't going to hurt us.

Bump the video card at least up to GeForce 4 and why do you need a fax modem if you have an ethernet card?

Lawst, I still have GF2 MX200 because I can't afford anything else.

DO NOT BUY A GF2 MX. UPGRADE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

This has been kegwen's "learn from my gaming woes" post

Yeah, if you absolutely must have GeForce 2, go Ti, not MX

You can choose not to buy certain components it all. It will save you a few bucks. Same with the fax modem assuming you're not on dial up.

Apparently a GeForce II MX can't run XP.

Well, that means I'm defying logic.

Grammar is your enemy! - While being able to understand someone's sentences might seem like a good idea for a proper essay, complaining on a forum scarcely leaves time for such trivialities. Write fast! You're angry, grrr! Make that show, and forget about things like capital letters, punctuation, and verbs.

Meh. Don't know to much about the vid cards. Very casual gamer. If I see a game that is cheap and catches my eye. I might buy it. Going to a GeForce 4 Would only bump the cost up to 670..that isn't to bad.

Lyinar: I switch between 2 different states thru part of the year. One I have access to broadband, the other I use dial up. Hence the modem and ethernet.

Not getting the mouse only saves 2 bucks. Spare mouse could always come in handy.

Uh, who said that?

It runs fine, because all GeForces use the same drivers.

Ah. Then yeah, the MX440 may be your best bet...BUT if you want to save more money, i BELIEVE that the NForce 2 motherboards they have integrate a GF4 MX420, so you could completely get rid of the video card and use integrated. if you only game casually, its not that big of a deal.
