wtf?
Once more into the breach, my friends, once more. We'll close the wall with our dead. In peace, nothing so becomes a man as modesty and humility, but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger, summon up the blood, disguise fair nature with rage and lend the eye a terrible aspect.

I was in the Virgin Islands once. I met a girl, we ate lobster, drank piƱa coladas. At sunset, we made love like sea otters. That was a pretty good day. Why couldn't I get that day over, and over?

Chriton seals off the wormhole to earth, getting moya heavily damaged in the process, and killing Hat lady's lover, finds out Aeryn is going to have a baby (That's why she went to the medical area on the command carrier, to release it from stasis), so he proposes. She accepts.

Then some weird sectional face guy swoops out of the sky and turns them into small chunks.. or something. Then it zooms in on the ring and says "To be continued.."

Not stupid by any means. However I sat there for about 5 minutes staring at the screen trying to decide if I was pissed or just sad.

I thought this was the show finale not just the Season.

It is the show finale. There's a group out there http://www.savefarscape.com that's trying to get the funds for an extra episode so they can finish it on a good note. Otherwise... This is the end.

I wish they could have at least related their deaths to the heroics they pulled, like saying 'onose molecular cohesion is decoalescing from the wormhole radiation' or somethingupo...

But yeah. Stupid sectional face guy. At least they got a cool animatronic to kill them and not just, well, a guy with makeup.

I actually don't think they're dead because the guy said they were supposed to be 'neutralizing them for analysis'...but perhaps we'll never know. I've heard talk of an anime and a movie though, so hope isn't entirely lostupo.

Personaly, I sat there and smiled. What better way to end a damn good series than by killing off the main characters, it was the creaters final "F*** you!!" to the sci-fi channel for telling him to end the show. They just wanted to see if they could get enought people pissed off to make a differance.

It was..

An ending.

Yeah, some people may not have liked it, but they tied up all loose ends (No going to earth, Scarrans out of that part of space for a good while, Peacekeepers' main antagonistic commander, Grazer, jailed, Aeryun having the baby released from stasis, John finally making the commitment of marriage, etc.).

I have to say, though. Ben Browder is one helluva good actor through all of this. He plays his part well, and I think he really gets into the mindset of Chriton.

I like him in the same way I like O'Neil from SG-1. Funny without "Knock knock" jokes, a different view then everyone else that makes you kinda snicker, And a general feeling of him not giving a shit at points that just makes it all fun.

Though O'Neil takes the cake with taunting Jaffa and stuff. Especially Anubis' First Prime in the Season finale.

"Oh! Hey. I'm.. bad with names. *Staff shot* Er, yeah. You. Failing to the top, I see."

Later:

"Don't forget to tell him you screwed up again!"

I will miss Farscape, one of the few actually good sci-fi shows ever made

Hell, if it was a movie, it would qualify as the best movie category too

Miles above Star Trek or most of the other crap on TV

Plus Chriton is one of my favorite characters and actors ever
He just did it perfectly

And Chianna was hot

I never watched an episode of Farscape and ever thought "Ahhh yes, the required celebrity guest star episode" or whatnot.

Didn't get a chance to see the finale, but I'm sure it will be played again
If I had the massive moneyz, I would buy the series on DVDs. Just wish I had that kind of cash to spend though

And please, you don't want to get me started on the acting in, say, Star Wars movies

Actually, Lexx has been over for almost a year now. Their last season (which ended with the Lyka-monster destroying Earth and Lexx dying itself to destroy said monster) aired on Sci Fi last year. So all that's been shown since then is repeats.

No other point to this since I haven't been watching Farscape, I just wanted to clear that up.

I don't know if Mort's seen the entire series, though.

The special season two ending/explination of everything up to the start of season 3 is where I actually started watching the show, and it helped a lot, because a lot of the earlier episodes were just trying to show off stuff. After that, they got serious and made one helluva storyline.

Like I said, Ben Browder (As well as his beautiful costar) really did get into the minds of the characters well, and played them true to life, as they would be flying around on a ship carrying escaped prisoners, meeting all sorts of screwy aliens and even getting Aeryun turned halfway into a Pilot.

Stargate I can agree on, because O'Neil is just so fucking cool-ly funny.

Carter: "I dunno. I'll figure it out. We'll MacGuyver something."
O'Neil: ".. You'll what?"
Carter: ".....We'll do it."

Edit: I can't say anything on andromeda, other then the fact that the first few episodes never really brought me in, for some reason.

Kinda belated, but the reason the ending was so abrupt was that this was meant to be the last episode of that season, there was one more season planned. This all happened because Sci-Fi wanted a special deal on the re-run rights and Jim Henson Company said no, Sci-Fi doesn't want to pay the offer Jim Henson has. Also, the frelling president of Sci-Fi, Bonnie Hammer, was trying to get more of a female demographic, but canceled Farscape even though female scapers probably out-number the men.

That's the story and I'm sticking to it.
