Kicked alot of ass, it was Flipsides, Real McKenzies, Rise Against, and Mad Caddies

Flipsides - Sucked alot, Woman was a horrible singer, music was bad, pit sucked.

Real McKenzies - Kicked fucking ass, The pit was huge, the sound was fast and loud, I got punched in the jaw during this.

Rise Against - Also kicked fucking ass, faster and louder than McKenzies, the pit was even crazier too, alot of fun.

Mad Caddies - What can I say? They owned, everyone was skanking and havin' a good old time, Me and my friend got a huge skankin line forumed in the pit.

I had a great time tonight, the pit's were amazing, I'm hurting alot, and I reek of other peoples sweat, and weed. I'm going to go shower now.

Yeah, I'm going to see Catch 22 on a Monday night, normally I wouldn't, but I love Catch 22 so much.

Count The Stars will be good for the mosh fest, If its the band I'm thinking of, They're Hardcore. Yeah, I'd like to see Voodoo Glow Skulls...but I don't think they're coming here. I have to see Catch 22 again though, first time a few months ago, I didn't get to mosh. I was stuck jacket guy. This time I will.

Catch 22's second time here in 3 months. Yet I'm not complaining! I'm gonna have some amount of fun at this show. The Opera House (Venue) is a great concert place, 2 levels, so there's always 2 pits. One for pushing and shoving, and the 2nd level one is pure skanking.

Nothing more for me until the 24th (Catch 22) 30th (All American Rejects, don't really want to go, but need to get my friends sister in) and then May 13th for Red Hot Chili Peppers and 14th for Big D and the Kids Table and Planet Smashers.

Lol, some of my friends tried to go to the Rejects' last show at the Green Door and they stood outside in line for like 3 hours and never got in.

I have no sympathy for them. Though I really wasn't surprised. AAR are big enough around here to probably sell out the Diamond Ballroom (like 2x or 3x bigger than the Green Door, probably more). I know that's where they played when the Riddlin' Kids and Homegrown were tagging along.

Right now my plans are: theSTART on the 14th, hopefully Voodoo Glow Skulls/Tsunami Bomb on the 21st, and if I'm really lucky, Disturbed/Taproot/Chevelle/Unloco on April 8. I don't think that last one will happen, though. I'll probably end up spending too much at theSTART's merch stand. ¬_¬


I'd also like to see Sleater-Kinney open for Pearl Jam, but just thinking about the ticket prices makes me wince.

You smell that? Do you smell that? ...Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed for twelve hours. When it was all over I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory.

It's a type of dance that's generally done when you're listening to ska music (Which is like punk with trumpets).

Frankly, I don't see what's fun about skanking OR moshing.

I never got hurt in the Bif Naked pit..I just got a boot in the face from punk girl, she was at the Mad Caddies show so I shoved her into the middle of the pit. Bwahaha, Go Karma.

The only people I ever set out to "hurt" in a mosh pit are those that intentionaly set out to hurt others and ESPECIALLY those that do so even when the others are obviously not enjoying it.

edit: To clarify... in the above example where dude said he got punched in the jaw... If it was just a flailed fist, no biggie, but if it was someone delibertly drawing back and sucker punching someone then they need to be taken out.

For the most part though most pits I've been through are just people burning off steam in a borderline fighting slam dance kind of way. Good stuff sometimes, if you're into that aggressive kinda stuff.

I went to see Tsunami Bomb like a long ass time ago... I kinda thought the singers voice was annoying, but it was probably just a bad amp or whatever. Mest played, and I can't remember who else did....

I haven't been to a punk concert since I wanna go again...
