Had a deck using this combo a long time ago, but I'd like to know if this really works using competition rules.

Say I put out an

Then I out a on it.

Does this make it invincible? (Excluding disenchants and the like) Would it die, go out of play, have the False Demise return it to play, and then use its ability to put the False Demise back onto it?

If that does work, couldn't you kill someone instantly with something like an

Just been bugging me for a while. If it DOES work, I'm sure it's been done to death; but I'd still like to know if it's playable.

No. The Drake and most of the other 187 creatures have been errated to say "When ______ comes into play, if you played it from your hand...."

It used to work however but under the current rulings it doesn't.

There's a King on a throne with his eyes torn out.
There's a Blind Man looking for a shadow of doubt.
There's a Rich Man sleeping on a golden bed.
There's a Skeleton choking on a crust of bread.

Thanks! Now I won't look stupid if I ever walk into a tourney again to find that all my decks are crap.

There were a lot of combos like that going around casual players for awhile, but recently wizards have be ban whoring all that fun stuff.
I don't discriminate...I hate everyone.

We need to stop using that : in MTG O or have drysart do something about it.

Whenever someone types the acronym for MAgic Onine it looks like MTG

Anyway, yeah wizards screwup up some very fun combos in urza block. Then left the more powerful ones alone....

grrr
