I know this has been asked, but I couldn't find the post and also couldn't find any helpful information on google.... therefore,

I currently have a fine screen capture program, however, with movies/dvd's it won't work due to *I believe* the fact the image isn't actually written to something-or-other. So, I am looking for something that can take captures of movie files.

Have you tried disabling hardware video acceleration while capturing?

There was a signature here... it's gone now.

I just rewatched my Macross Saga collection this last week... *sniff* such good stuff. I still have not seen any of the other sagas for Robotech, but I'll see them someday.
