I need good techno songs!
You smell that? Do you smell that? ...Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed for twelve hours. When it was all over I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory.

They're all the same.

It's one long song with no name!

I have no idea.

A Kansas City Shuffle is when everybody looks right, you go left.

It's not something people hear about.

Unlike Emo, which just skips the "good" part entirely.

I WIN!

That doesn't even make SENSE.

Pretty much anything by Oakenfold is good and yes there are various flavors of techno music

I know where you can get some downright insane German technopop, if you want.

Scooter, a german techno band (though all their songs are in english), isn't half bad when they get going. They change faster than most techno, and unlike 90% of the genre, they actually often build up to things, like climaxes or transformations, unlike the standard techno which just builds up, down, up again, and so on ad infinitum.

"Endless summer" is great

"Friends" has a good pace and sound if you can get past the high-pitched artificial voice.

However, one warning. Scooter does sound great, but the lyrics bring new meaning to the word non-sensical.

"How Much is the Fish" is the premier example of that; wonderful piece of music, but it's hard not to laugh at the absolutely bizzare lyrics.

Anything by Dream Theater.

I have no freaking clue if it's techno or not, but it's got God Incarnate on a synthesizer. (and guitar, and bass, etc.)

Ah, and so you can get a bit of a taste of his style.

Amazon has a few clips from some songs, though none from the personal favorites I mentioned. Obviously, as these are amazon clips, the real songs have a much clearer sound than here. I personally like Nessaja out of this selection, in pusher and posse you can hear the high-pitched techno voice I warned about (he uses that in maybe one out of every 5 songs or so). As for "Fuck the millenium", that's actually the first time I've heard him curse in a song, it's not something standard for him.
