I am a bit sick but in a wonderful mood..
I came home today and both my fish were dead. I can't remember being this upset in a long time.

Perhaps it is just a lot of things in the back of my mind and this kinda put me over the edge. But I swear I almost feel like crying.

The pet store is even stumped. One of the fish has some sort of Mucus looking coccun around it.. Very disturbing.

I guess I was kinda attached to them.

Guess they just couldn't handle you.

Geez...

I remember when my Parakeet died. That was horrible. Nowadays, I'm very hesitant getting a pet because I now that eventually they are going to die.

There's a King on a throne with his eyes torn out.
There's a Blind Man looking for a shadow of doubt.
There's a Rich Man sleeping on a golden bed.
There's a Skeleton choking on a crust of bread.

Sounds like Ick, I dunno why they named it like that, but that's what they call it. It leaves this nasty film around your fish and suffocates them, i think it also infects them? Can't remember.
Sorry to hear about your fish! *hands out flowers*

Any idea what causes it?

I think fungus. If i still owned fish, i could get my stupid little booklet out and tell ya.
You can buy these little tablets that fiz and get rid of it though, they also tell you what causes it. So in the future, you will know what to look for at least.

it's a fungus. One of the earliest signs of it is a white film over the fish's eyes. If you do decide to get new fish completely break down your tank and clean *everything* then set it up and run it for a week or two with no fish. If you do happen to see the film on future fish take a water sample to your pet store and they can test for it and give you a water treatment that will cure it.

sorry to hear that

The Metroids got to your fish, and they were mutating from the X who later took over the fish after the metroids left.

Sorry to hear about it all the same though. Be careful if your fiancee's eyes take on a white film, and she starts going nuts. Chances are, she's been taken over by X parasites as well

(Sorry, playing Metroid Fusion all day)
