Has anyone done this recently?

Have you seen the hilt drop off a skeleton in Najena? Deth and I have been there for hours and nothing but ringmail and sandals.

Was it this hard when those who have completed it did it?

The hilt drops off of something along the lines of "A skeleton" not large or anything, usually around level 25. It's a pretty common drop, or was the time that I was there.

Sat in Najena for like 4 or 5 hours (maybe longer, I lost track of time)...finally got the hilt. This is after hours in Highpass to get the scroll, and running all around the world waiting for all the requisite NPC's to spawn so I could get the bag to combine everything in.

Now I have the scroll, the blade (took all of maybe an hour in Butcherblock, tops), and the hilt. Going to get the heart of the crazed ghoul tomorrow hopefully. Then my paladin will have his very own ghoulbane...sa-weet!

Lucky moth..

I had to pay 2000 pp and a pair of dwarven work boots (That I camped myself for ten friggin hours straight, mind you) for mine off a druid.

So what did I do after I had it? Marched right the hell back into Unrest and SOLOED the fucker for the boots.

Damn right.

To hell with the quest! Go camp the Shin Lord for 30 hours like we used to in the old days! Yes, nothing so Paladin like as sitting for hours on end killing lots of frogs, and a Paladin to have his holy sword! Trust me, Deth, you are being robbed of that long camp, then the great joy at seeing that great sword appear..to slay the paladin..only to discover it's a rusty 2 hander.

Heh. I camped GUK 16 hours for mine.
Without a break.

I quit shortly after that.

The ghoul heart is probably the easiest part to get. When I hunted in Befallen I'd see them drop all the time.
I don't know how to be sexy. If I catch a girl looking at me and our eyes lock, I panic and open mine wider. Then I lick my lips and rub my genitals. And mouth the words "You're dead."
