Are you sure? I thought system restore completely erased what you did until the last time it was saved. At least thats how it is with my ME.

I'm pretty sure, yeah. The amount of harddrive space the later would require is just kind of insane...
I haven't used it for a long time, though, so I really don't know for sure.
My profile got eaten twice by this PC in the last 8 months (since I bought it, too busy to build it myself 
). Both times it happened because I left a floppy in the drive (both times when my brother wanted me to print something for him that he brought on floppy 
). The profile gets renamed to
C:\Documents&Settings\YourName.bak\
So anything you have in there you can still get at, so long as you have administrator rights on the machine. I didn't want to revert or reformat, so I rebuilt my profile. The hardest part is getting it to stop making temporary profiles and build you a new clean one, so you can move stuff over.
And, of course, you don't need to know this anyway, because you solved the problem using Suddar's advice. [ 01-10-2003: Message edited by: Ford Prefect ]
