Who seriously watched/will watch it?

I will, just because I want to see someone get owned. Like in that alaskan game where the guy didn't show up to his 'wedding'. That was gold.

Yes, I am a jerk.

Grammar is your enemy! - While being able to understand someone's sentences might seem like a good idea for a proper essay, complaining on a forum scarcely leaves time for such trivialities. Didn't watch it, probably never will. The whole concept made my blood boil when I saw the commercials. Remember that old phrase: "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"? Hope Fox had a damned good team of lawyers set up from the day this started filming.

The whole "reality" show romance genre that's been so popular the last few years has kinda turned my stomach to be honest. I'm not sure if it disturbs me more that there are hundreds of women lining up to sign up for this crap, or the fact that society has become voyeuristic enough that we thrive off of it. I don't, however, think that this is in the least mysoginistic, as I've heard many other people say. These silly bitches signed up of their own accord.

Fox needs to forcibly have most of their programming staff's head forcibly removed from their collective ass in my opinion.

Funny thing is, just like Survivior, They've probably already done the filming and are waiting on the results at the last show.

Who knows.

I admit it, I watched it. And I'll even go as far to admit that I was amused with it.

This is the first "reality" show like this that I actually sat down to watch (okay, so I taped it last night and watched this morning).

I find it funny that *most* of those girls (yes, there seem to be a feel down to earh girls) are so into dollar signs and what exactly this guy can do with his money. It's also a shame that this handful of money grubbing bimbos are setting a very low standard for the rest of good girls! On the other hand.. I doubt they'll marry someone who is very successful because all their future mate has to do is see a clip of how they act.

A few years back, there was a threatened writer's strike which never happened. The networks, enthused by Survivor, decided that they could weather the storm by creating many reality series that did not require writers. And show lots of sports.

Looks like we decided to use every idea created during that time, just spreading them out more.

What I don't get is the guy's in construction. In LA. And he only makes $19,000 a year? That's about $9.13/hr. What do they use him for on the site? Brace to hold the wall up? Rubbish bin? Seems that if you're working construction and have ANY skills at all besides a strong back and a weak mind you should be making WAY more than that.

I've never gotten into 'reality' television shows. Probably never will. I may however catch the last episode, just to see what happens. I have a pretty good idea that regardless of the results, it will end miserably regardless if the girl actually does still like him at the end.

Hi

Ok this is the Tim Take on the whole Joe Millionaire:

OMFGY!
When i first saw this commercial i was stunned. I mean.. ok.. breed a buncha hotties from other hotties and tell the Neu Hotties "Use your looks and use your men till you find the holy grail. A Goodlooking millionaire." and then slap them on the ass and send them out in the world.. Then watch a mad Cow Scramble for the "prize" while we sit back and laugh at the collective joke that everyone but these women know? Not Right... At least on "The Mole" you know someone was out to Fuck you over....
ok.. that was the girls..

Ok.. the guy...
number 1.. where did they find him? What kind of ASSHOLE knows that he is going to toy with what? 25womens and thier emotions?!.. lie to them to the point where he loses himself in all the lies < and not even do it right.. prolly the writers are giving him what to say and so hes being a toy also. I dont care that he makes 19k a year.. i dont care if he thinks that this will make him popular AT ALL with ANY woman who sees the show "Oh yer that asshole that fucked with those womens minds!" but COME ON... sigh..there needs to be a point where someone says ' ya know.. we are prolly not doint something nice.. lets Gas all the girls instead.. its more humane.... ok... thats the Guy...

SPOILER: Dont read any farther UNLESS you wanna hear some Halfbrained idea about what this show is really about:

I Think he really is a millionaire or really close to it. I think that when he tells the girls that he is a construction worker then waits to see thier reaction.. Its going to be a shocker when he sees if she really loves him <har har> then tells her the truth. Thats what i think is gonna happen.. a lil Xfiles type planning. But if i made a show like this that would be EXACTLY what i would do. If they really are going for the whole "I like to Lie to women' thing.

Discuss

Gee, those women are just victims, right?

Did you ever think that the REASON that they agreed to go on the show is BECAUSE they think he's a millionaire? If they are victims, it's because they DESERVE to be.

There ARE women who are gold-diggers, and those types should get what's coming to them.

It's not right that they are being misled?

Is it right that THEY would play with HIS emotions and PRETEND to 'love' him just because he has money?

We call them 'Mexicans' where I work.

Once you work in a construction industry you're amazed at just how many illegals get hired by the individual contractors whie the company turns a blind eye to it. Based off second-hand stories from our field managers, they're better, faster, cheaper, and complain less than the American tradesmen with similar experience. Of course, the Sword of Damacles labeled "INS" the builder holds over them has something to do with it.

Anyway, yes, Joe M. is a tool and his sole purpose at the company is probably to have someone legal on the payroll so the IRS doesn't get too suspicious. Thus his incredibly low wage.
