Aren't Arwen and Aragorn cousins? Elrond is Arwen's father. Aragorn's descended from the direct line of kings from the men of Nuremor...whose fist king was Elrond's brother. Who themselves were half-elves. Their father was human and mother was an elf. After the defeat of Melkor they gave the half-elves a choice. Immortal like the elf..or die like the human. Elrond chose immortality, his brother mortality. He was given Numenor and was the first King. So doesn't that make Arwen and Aragorn related?

They're so diluted with age by now that it's a faint trace if anything.

Besides, who cares?

Related? Yeah. So are all the royals in Europe but they keep marrying each other. Or did.

Well in the movie Elrond is kind of a dick to Aragorn. I'd be like hold on there ya stuck up half breed freak. You're part human, and my great great great great great great great great great great great great grand pappy was your brother. Your pappy was a human and sailed to godland to get the gods to come and save your ass along with everyone else. Lighten up, hand me your daughter, keep it in the family.

I think 3000 years or so would tend to dilute the blood connection enough that it would not matter. Chances are that no matter what part of the world you are from you will marry someone who is also in some FAR distant way related to you. It is unaviodable when you look at the number of people that can come from just two people over 3000 years, much less larger families, etc.

Of course, it's always possible they have more ties than those from such a long time ago.

But those ties are also likely few and far between.
