Okay now, this is a weird topic, I guess.

Who opens there presents Christmas Eve, or Christmas Morning?

Personally, we open them in the morning, after 9 or so.

We have to sleep till then.

Usually we open them Christmas morning as soon as all are up, but this year we're opening presents Christmas Eve evening after dinner and stockings will be plundered after breakfast tomorrow.

I can open one gift on Christmas Eve. I imagine my mom will let my nephews do the same.

Then I have to wait till after everyone's up on Christmas Day. Usually I stay up late, catch a nap, open presents, and nap throughout the day till it's time to help with dinner.

Christmas morning. The parents make us eat breakfast first, damn them. We can only open our stockings until everyone's eaten. DAMN PRESENT NAZIS!

The ones that come directly from a family member in the household (like, to my brother, from my mom; or to me from my dad; to my mom from my dad; etc.) get opened tonight before we leave for my grandmother's (mom's side). Everything else is opened at my grandmother's house.

Christmas morning, it's become sort of a tradition to go to my neighbor's house and have breakfast and play Dirty/Secret/Whatever Santa or something. I go, eat, then leave, because I don't much like my neighbors, and my mom got really bitchy last year because she thought that the [Whatever] Santa thing was just for the "adults" when it was actually for all who attended the get-together. Which means my brother and I got left out. We both found this really, really irritating. Though - looking back - I'm not really sure why anymore.

We get together with my dad's side when it's convenient for everyone. They're all coming over on Friday.

I haven't had a wrapped Christmas present in almost five years.

But when we were little we used to be able to pick any one we wanted on Christmas Eve, and then the rest as soon as we woke up and drug our parents out of bed.

You smell that? Do you smell that? ...Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed for twelve hours. When it was all over I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory.

Grammar is your enemy! - While being able to understand someone's sentences might seem like a good idea for a proper essay, complaining on a forum scarcely leaves time for such trivialities. Write fast! You're angry, grrr! Make that show, and forget about things like capital letters, punctuation, and verbs.

We open any one of our choice on Christmas Eve, then all the rest when everyone else is awake in the morning(but not before 8).

I have a friend whose family opens all their presents on the 22nd. Seems that they changed their tradition of opening them on Christmas when his dad died so as not to bring back memories of him during the holiday season.

Over here, we usually wait to open them until 30 minutes after everyone wakes up. Stockings, however, are fair game the minute we open our eyes.

Used to be when I lived at home, we did gifts from visiting relatives on Christmas eve, and after everyone left (most of those who show up live within an hour or so of us), we'd open up one family gift.

Now that I've been out on my own for... awhile, we get together on the afternoon of the 24th, before the relative invasion and open all the gifts.

On Christmas day I usually do a big huge dinner for all my friends who're estranged from their families for one reason or another.

Used to, we would open all our presents from each other (we being my family) on Christmas Eve, and then we'd open our presents from Santa in the morning

Then, when my sister and I became a little more learned, we just started opening all of them in the morning.

Once more into the breach, my friends, once more. We'll close the wall with our dead. In peace, nothing so becomes a man as modesty and humility, but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger, summon up the blood, disguise fair nature with rage and lend the eye a terrible aspect.
