I don't even know if it counts considering all of my first posts were on the /GU comics forums, but as Drysart owned those forums I feel it does.
I signed up to the /GU forums on 20th December, 2000 as a 15 year old School pupil who loathed erm... pretty much everything that was going on irl and wasn't really that confident about online message boards, so from what I can remember I wasn't that opinionated and stayed nice to everyone. I remember first seeing Mortious, Delid, obviously the almighty Woody, Aanile (That hippy wolf sigpic was pretty groovy. Don't fucking laugh! I say groovy IRL!! 
) Jete, and loads of others. I also remember the biggest thread was the RL pictures thread, which was (omg huge lol) 14 pages or so. *laughs*
Then Woody decided to stop /GU and closed the forums, so a lot of the /gu community set up their own unnofficial EZboard as somewhere to go. I hate using EZboards so I decided i'd move and start posting on EverCrest, I did read the comic a lot, but I found the forums a bit chaotic and intimidating before. But sometime before the September of 2001 I moved over and started posting, changed my account to Leck and became a full time EC'er.
I've met some extroadinary people while i've been a member of these forums and I wasn't too keen on making individual messages because it sorta creates an impromptu popularity contest. But I really couldn't be bothered to make so many PMs so i'm going to go on the notion that you probably know who you are.
Woody gets a mention because I wouldn't be posting here if it wasn't for /GU comics. Plus you made my idea into a comic and posted (without even knowing it) On my 16th birthday! I love your comic. You're very talented and I hope to become as good at what I do as you have in your art. Does that make sense? Thank You.
Drys and Kenn too for making Evercrest and WoFR. The comics got me through my school computer studies lessons without going totally insane. I managed to get through the entire archive and finished reading it on one of the last lessons actually. Thank you.
I know and talk to too many people to make the list without some eejit complaining that I didn't mention them. So like I said, you know who you are. Thank you.
