Nothing yet. This is the fourth Nor'easter we've had this fall. This winter has much potential to be bad.

I remember that one. Also remember the one in 98..
Only thing? I couldn't shovel the driveway today, since if I did, the whole thing would be ice.
Sometimes, I thank god I have a 4x4.
Only got a little bit of rain last night.
NO!
NO ONE ASKS LIAM.
But I dont think it'll be as bad as that time we got 5 feet of snow, 6-8 in drift spots... THAT sucked, it took probably 4-5 hours with THREE people to get it all done.
Couldnt see the street from the front window. And when we were done, walking out of the driveway it was as if we had some sort of icy retaining wall surrounding it.
Im thinking one to two feet. Forecast is saying about 25-30 centimeters, with wind that would boost it up a bit, and my driveway always seems to get more than everyone elses.. So yeah, at least 2 feet all around, higher in drift spots.

I just want school cancelled.
My Dad and Stepmom live in Raleigh...they left the house and came to Greenville to spend the next few days. No power means where Dad works is closed. Schools are closed down, so my stepmom (a Principal) is mostly waiting. So they grabbed their stuff and came to G'ville this morning. Said power was out everywhere in Raleigh, through all the smaller towns between there and Wilson, and it looked like Wilson was blacked out in places. Got here and got a room at the local Holiday Inn, plugged in their laptops, and are just going to wait it out. Could be upwards of a week.

It'll probably get worse though.
The 96 storm was the worst I've ever seen. I remember snow drifts being twice my height. That was the year I carved out a three-room igloo with connecting tunnels from the pile of snow that the snow plows had left on the side of the road.
I could have done more but I was tired.

We built ramparts in the snow drifts on either side of our driveway (each 10+ feet high) and repelled besieging neighbor kids.
In the back we had another pair of snow forts separated by ~100 feet of trenches, all of which which were staging grounds for various arctic campaigns.

Still can't wait to move the fuck outta NY though.
Yeah, i'm just rambling, so i'll call it quits.

Me and my brother built tunnels through our side lawn. It eventually collapsed on him when the snow started thinning out after the heavy snow stopped

Took me an hour to get to work, but the rest of the day was a breeze.
We'll see in the morning, though....
Ah, but in '96 I was coming back to Pittsburgh from New England when it hit. The news said it was goign south, so we got on I-80......and suddenly it turned north.
We ended up in Clearfield County (middle of nowhere) for a day and a half... [ 12-06-2002: Message edited by: Judge Gydyon ]

(and billing you for it) since 2001
Also my work sold out of snowblowers.
This winter does indeed have the appearance of happyfun about it. Maine's just been really fucking cold, but still no snow.
The storms of 96 and 98 were indeed fun. I remember those well. *cries*
I didn't have power for two weeks.
I want mooore.

You're on the eastern part of the continent?
