I know. I like that taste and I love how much colder canned soda can get than bottled.
Also, soda in a can will retain its carbonation for a much greater length of time after being opened than bottled soda does (which gets flat about an hour after opening, canned can stay carbonated overnight).

Glass can be melted down and reformed completely, not to mention you can just clean and rebottle them. Aluminum you will lose some when you melt it back down, and plastics rarey com back as what the started as, usally the become fill for somethign else like roads, or benches
