How are you supposed to write the equation of a spirial origanating at 0,0 with only 1 equation?

probably something like x(cos(x))=y(sin(y))

but then again, that's just a hunch.

You need to use polar equations: as in R=cos theta (that funny symbol for angles).
Graphics calculators can do it.

Actually, I think you can just do it as r=x. Don't know how you would go about extending the range so that you could get multiple revolutions. But yea, polar coridinants are the way to go for anything resembaling a circle.

That's just a line along the X axis (y=0).

r = (theta).

As (theta) goes from 0 -> (infinity).

That way, as theta increases (revolving around (0,0) r (the distance out from (0,0) increases. It only works if (theta) goes past 2(pi).

I believe.

Oh, polar coordinates btw.

it works faster in radians on a smaller graph, but overall degrees is faster to spiral

but for a decent spiral
Radians
theta = 0 -> 6pi
Degrees
theta = 0 -> 1080

Its prolly some really complicated formula like y+x=y/x^n-(y*x)+plus the coeficient of the meaning of existence or something like that.

Any way to do it with a y= as the first bit?
