Okay this is ONLY a possibility at the moment, but I've decided to take some time and start working on the "Adventurer's Journal" in my off time.

For those who haven't been to the site, or don't know on Dream Media there is an Aleria section, and a part called "Adventurer's Journal" which is supposed to be an online comic book section based off the games I used to run. Well, instead of just making it a graphical comic book, I wanted to make it a talking comic book, using Flash. It basically be the same, just a comic book with pictures, but instead of just READING the text, it would be spoken. Kinda like an In-Game cutscene with subtitles, etc. So if I can make this work, this is what I need. People to play the parts.

For the main parts, ie the players, I'd rather keep my main players as thier own voices. With the exception of Pved and Abbi. Not because I don't think they could do it, but because the accents won't work. (Could always be someone else though, just wont work for the D'Syvat and Abbigail roles. Specially in D'Syvat's case, as he and Lairus need to be similar, as well as keeping a similar accent as Nevia since they are from the same peoples.) Aside from them, there are various other parts throughout the story to be filled, female and male both. Like the Court scene for instance. I'd need a rough, older sounding guy to play Errandil, Kardan's father. Etc etc. So over time there would be many roles to fill. The gods, the part players, the NPC's, the guards, etc etc.

Sound interesting? Anyone think they are up for it? Would anyone want to see something like this in action? Questions, comments, idea people, volunteers? Just post some feedback.

I'm going to start scripting when I get home. Have to do that anyway, even if I don't do the voice version. Cause it still needs to be scripted to panel.

In the begining it will probably be Aleria's intro story. Mostly a narration, most likely speaking parts at the point, and of course means the role would be permanent is.. Brom, Aleria, Lairus (Who will do most all narrations through the entire thing. So it will either be myself, or someone who will ALWAYS be there. Will also possibly be a dual-role as there is D'Syvat who is Lairus mortal counterpart.), Morgania, Durim Stormhammer, maybe one or two more.. Dunno, have to wait and see how I script it out.

Here are some roles that I KNOW will need placement, because they are pretty dominant storywise.
Players, so hopefully filled by thier RL Counterparts: (However, if for some reason, or in Abbigail's and D's case, no one claims them. They are open as well)

Kardan Derros(M):
Jade Shebari(F):
Nevia Du'Lake(F):
Abbigail WolfStalker(F young):
Kraknek(M):
D'Syvat/Lairus(M):
Pierce Ellinon(M):
Ranyth Forsworn(M):
Balkor Voracid(M):

Additional Roles, vital:

Parcelan(M):
Rorret(M):
Brom(M):
Ives(F):
Lairus/D'Syvat(M):

I wish I had more time, since I think I'd enjoy doing a bit of voice acting. My natural voice is somewhat nasal sounding, but I can manipulate it so that it sounds normal (or horribly nasal, or yawning, or raspy, etc).

Though my voice always sounds funky on my comp mic, I could do male parts at the mid-lower end of the spectrum, and some at pure bottom of the barrel. Also, I have a talent at doing monster voice effects, if you happen to need those.

I shall try and detail the sound I am looking for, well cept for the players, cause if they do thier parts, they know thier personalities better. I'll just assume only in the case that they can't do them.

Rorret: I've heard Mort speak, and think he would fill this role should he really want it, but just in case. Rorret is the god of pain and misery, a snide decietfull man who languishes in the dark arts, yet is a bladmaster in his own right. He is callaus, egotistical, easily sparked to anger, and overcompensating. He is a dark, dark, dark man, and one of the major antagonists. His mind is so warped, and centuries of being hunted have made him overly paranoid. He is hateful, vile, and cruel. ( I think I did a good job with him. )

Brom: Is the head honcho, the main guy. The biggest player on the side of good, but is mentally disturbed. He is brash, arrogant, and rather violently just, MOST of the time. But he has a second side (Never really used it in game) that is dark, vengeful, and cruel. He is wise and compasionate, his daughters mean the world to him, as do his children. The peoples of Aleria. He commanding and stern, but his daughter Ives can see right through it, and usually knock him down a notch. Shes daddies little girl.

Ives: A major player, shes is the highest godess in the pantheon. She is so warmhearted and kind it usually makes her brethren sick, Dwarden specifically, although he loves her dearly. But she has been broken down a bit over the years and suffers from a mild depression. Her heart has been broken, and she is usually found wanting and distant. She loves all things, and does the best she can, but most of the time feels as if her heart will shatter.

Lairus( Immortal half): http://www.dreammedialtd.com/lairusdoom.zip best way to do it.

Ma'Os: Think vengeful nerd. Yet very powerful. Sniveling worm, overcompensating, Rorret's lacky. Horrid weasly little man, who wants nothing but to subjegate Jade. Twisted, vile, loathsome individual with a whiny demeanor.

Dwarden: Gruff, hard sounding man, yet probably has the softest heart of them all, although he'd die before admiting it. Very strong, very sure of himself, and a major power in the pantheon. Has a blood grudge against Rorret for destroying his children, and now rests in the back of Kraknek's head as a voice directing him on his way. Drives Kraknek insane, but he's a comfort... When he is actually helpful anyway.

Most of the info on each of the god type people can be found in the pantheon on the site.
http://www.dreammedialtd.com/aleria/ Under the panteon section..

Remeber this is ONLY a possibility at this point, but it's a strong one, and Im gonna try it out.

Anybody taking Abbi's role will have to realise one major thing..

She really only spoke a couple of times. Once just after Kardan's trial (and just before her death), and then the last time (as an angel/ghost) after she died...

Not really a big role

Keep in mind this is still in the 'planning/possibility' stages.

So no expected immediate results. In fact the first part is just going to be an intro as I said. I 'think' I have secured the Lairus/D'Syvat voice. Sent the script, will wait on a responce and a trial run if he is still interested. Then I'll do some work to see if I can even do it.

This is true, so it's a rather small part... Will still need someone for her MANY sighs, eye rolling gasps, grunts, and various other exasperated noises she made througout the entire thing.

I have a Lairus now, good voice. Sounds older, but not too old. Delivered well... Gonna have to find a way to clean up the wav file though.. Lots of popping etc etc. So for however long he is willing to do it, that role is taken and will be part of the first installment ( These WILL take time by the way, since not only do I have to draw/color them all, I have to sound edit/flash them. So don't expect immediate results. )

Also, like I've said, I've heard Mort talk and he continues to seem interested in the role. So his voice best suits Rorret. (This doesn't exclude you Mar, Mort's voice just 'so' works for the role. If you've ever heard him voice chat, you'd know why.)

Believe it or not, Matt, you'd actually suit Brom pretty damn well. So when his parts come around, I'll definitely be hitting you up. I don't remember the first time her got a speaking role.. Second game or there abouts I think.

I scripted the speaking parts for what will essentially be the intro story. Which is basically just Lairus recounting history. I'll set it to music and images basically. So I will be concentrating on that one.

The second one will start with Kardan's visitation to the council for the first time when they set him out on his mission. So there will be a few new random parts for the seats in that one. And of course Errandil Derros, who will have major part later on.

Remember, this may or may not work. Depends on how good I am, and if I can pull it off. Either way, it will be time consuming so not a fast process.

Lazzay, I need your cuteness.. There is a bit part that takes place in the very first game. The part of a little girl the group had to save. When I get to that one, I would like to give you a try. It's small, but kinda important... in a morbid, screw everyone over, kinda way.

May have others for you later on as well..

Also, other major story parts that I need that someone would need to fill...

Deandra(F): Dark brooding sounding kinda woman, yes strangely appealing in an attractive seductive kind of way. Cursed and damned to live a life she despises. Demon queen, not by her choice, vengeful, hateful, evil, dark. Has one desire, and one desire only. Complete and total dominance over D'Syvat. Including deathly painful revenge on a nightly basis which usually includes ripping his throat out with her bare hands. She is not evil... exactly... but she is certifiably insane. SERIOUSLY insane. Somewhat justified in her actions...
