I love that kind of weather. And I LOVE SNOW TOO!
Here, it's a cool, sunny, perfect day outside. I hate it. Gimme overcast skies and dreary rain anyday

Bleh, after living here in Newfoundland for 17 years you will discover yourself shoving that statement up your ass.
I got home at 3:00 today, driveway was covered in snow, and at the mouth there was an impenetrable wall of mega-slush that had frozen while everyone was away at work/school.
I began to shovel, and shovel, and shovel... Finished at quarter to five.
Oh, and I forgot to mention it was raining like there was no tomorrow, which made it much more annoying.
Cant we just get some powder for once!? Im pissed at slushy heavy bullshit =(
omgz humor disclaimer, you dont have to shove anything up your ass :/ Snow still sucks, though

Ditto.
And snow is GREAT! Slush is kinda mediocre. When the top layer of snow melts into slush and then refreezes as a solid ice crust over nice snow, that just downright sucks.
Nothing is uglier than 75% melted snow everywhere.
I remember snow actually staying put when I was a kid. God damn global warming...

Only if you have to drive.
That's the ideal situation for kids praying for a snow day.
I'm so sorry.

Western Washington sucks for snow. If we do get snow it almost always melts in the afternoon.Nothing is uglier than 75% melted snow everywhere.

Fucking.. and inch falls and the city is paralized.. Schools all over are closed and wide spread panic hits everyone.
And people here are shocked when I tell them, back home we could get 4 feet of snow, and school would still be open, and people didn't panic... [ 11-18-2002: Message edited by: Aanile ]

Wouldn't a heavy kids fair best on low friction ground due to their low centers of balance?

You're in Montreal?I'm so sorry.
What? Montreal rules yo!
Besides, I could care less about the shoveling, since I live in a rented house it's all being done by someone else, I figure an underpaid 12-year old.

Yeah, but when your legs punch through the shell into the soft snow that is kinda irrelavant.
We got like 8 inches of snow here in Maine, with a nice layer of ice to top it off. Not enough to walk on, though. Just enough to make walking through it a bitch.
A fourth of it all melted away this afternoon though. Woo! Refrozen snow for all!
School wasn't cancelled though. Damn you Maine. [ 11-18-2002: Message edited by: Suddar ]

ALL TRAVEL TO MT. ST ANNE!
"WATCH OUT FOR JAYHOO!" Ok, I can't spell his name
Far enough south to have nice summers and mild autumns, but far enough north and close enough to Lake Erie to have an assload of snow from time to time.
I just stopped driving and called in to work
I don't trust myself that much
