Well in the gym you're running under ideal conditions. Unless you run a lot of hills outside its mostly in your head, work outs are a lot more mental then physical.

You know, life guarding might be better, out side, fresh air, plenty of swimming, nice pay, and if you do your research and get the right beach, a superb view of the ocean and more importantly a view to a vast sea of young scantily clad member of the opposite sex.
