Normal, and as a dragon.
On mah first try.
However, Ansem/Riku was a bit more of a pain. That bastard.
On a different note, does anyone know where I can find Power shards/crystals? I'm trying to Synthesize crap, but some stuff (Blaze shards/gems in particular) is getting rare now that I've gone through Hollow Bastion once.
"Let's race across the beach!"
"I need you to find a seagull egg, a coconut, 3 fish, 3 mushrooms, and some drinking water!"
WTFY, a scavenger hunt?

After the first world (The one you're on) the game becomes more combat-oriented than it is now. There's still a lot of puzzles, and it's not easy, but it gets to be a LOT of fun in a couple worlds

In order.
Congrats on Milificent. Now come back and talk to me when you've beaten Hades, The Titans, and Sephiroth. </wangwave>
As for the items you need, I can tell you where every synthesis item is.
Power Shards come from the monkey enemies in Deep Jungle, and Power Gems come from all the pirate enemies in Neverland.
Blaze Shards and Gems all come from Agrabah. The Red Nocturnes drop the shards, and the fat bandits and bandits drop the gems.
Anything else you need?

That's when I returned my rental copy back.

Yes .. something that was called, I believe, Mystery Goo
Welcome to the pain in everyone's ass. Hope you like mushrooms, 'cause you're gonna be hunting a lot of 'em.
That or I'll go hunt ... /ugh ... mushrooms.
Find white mushrooms (They're all over).
Cast appropriate spell on them.
When they shiver, cast fire.
When they pant and wave their arm in front of their face, cast blizzard.
When the light shines down on them, lightning.
When they fall down, cure (Stand in close and it's at the bottom).
When they float, gravity.
When they spin, Aero (Same as cure).
Supposedly, there's also an animation where they freeze and you have to cast stop, but I haven't seen it yet =/
[BIG SPOILER]
If you cast the right spell on a mushroom three times, it will drop a !@#$load of clear bubbles and an item. Mystery Goo is uncommon from them. BUT... if you cast the SAME spell three times (Fire/Fire/Fire), by waiting for the right animations, they drop Mystery goo most (around 70%) of the time, and give you a XXXXX arts book. Fire/blizzard/lightning/cure/aero/gravity/stop arts. Collect all 7 (I have 6 of the 7 myself, need the 'stop' arts ) to get the Dream Shield for goofy.
Didn't know about the 3 shot same spell trick tho, thanks
