When used properly this title can produce much funny. But I also agree how its annoying.
Im stuck between the two! So I vote for both, if thats possible.

Alternately, include a feature on each post that lets readers vote for it. The post with the most votes gets its first sentence up on the big board.
If the maker of the thread had the ability to choose which sentence to use, or whether to have it, that'd be fine and dandy.
