Pretty much like the fast and the Furious, only nicer cars, stupider cops, and lacking Vin Deisel. Which all count for good things.

Now, for those who think I'm biased towards Nintendo, well, I've actually played it on all THREE systems for a bit. There are minor differences between them (I.E. you can do a lookahead thing in PS2 version, but not the Cube/Xbox, but there is a nice radar thing in the Cube/Xbox that isnt in the PS2 version), but they're overall the same. Lots of tracks, LOTS of cars, and plenty of colours to choose from.

Some high points:

  • Colour of cars is selectable, and when a cop radios in that he's gonna getcha, he actually sez the colour. And it's rather fluid, as well, not like "I'm chasing a [differentvoice]Red[/differentvoice] <insert model of car here>"
  • Cops are fun as hell to avoid. On a long race, you can get up to three coppers behind you, with a helicopter, and a roadblock in front (Spike strips SUCK! ) all at the same time.

And the helicopters drop BOMBS.. that you can force the cops into.

  • You can play AS the cops, and call for all the above. Always fun.

    Overall bad points:

  • Cars do not get damaged. I.E. If you hit a roadblock at 1003901940914 million miles an hour fifty times, your car still looks like it came from the showroom. RARELY I have seen the hood pop up/down, but that doesnt even show in first person mode. I hear the car manufacturers wouldn't lisence the game if they added damage. :/
  • Overall, the graphics are decent. Acceptable framerates on all systems. HOWEVER: Comparing First person modes, in terms of "feeling" like you're going 100mph, PS2 barely edges out the Cube, while the Xbox lags behind like the fat kid at boot camp.
  • The load times aren't too bad. The Xbox had the longest of all three, and the Cube was rather speedy. PS2 hung in the middle, but was still acceptable.

It's worth buying if you like racing games. The "Be the cop" mode is rather fun, and the tracks so far have been excellent.
There's also a point system to unlock new tracks/vehicles for the non-championship/storyline mode.

    Rating:

8 1/2 out of ten. Fun game, but I'll bet you could rent it and get your money's worth anyway.

This would be why nobody cared. At least stop being lazy enough to type it out in the TITLE of your thread.
I was in the Virgin Islands once. I met a girl, we ate lobster, drank piña coladas. At sunset, we made love like sea otters. That was a pretty good day. Why couldn't I get that day over, and over?

I thought your review was very interesting and informative, even if it is for a game I have never heard of.
