alright, I've been thinkin of makin a cd of good...patriotic music, songs that make you swell with pride to be an american

so far I got:

Jimi Henndrix - National Anthem
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Fortunate One

but I need more, bout an hours worth

thanks y'all

(this should be primarily rock, no country, 70's rock is like, optimal, some more modern tunes will suffice)

uh...yeah.

its good, but it doesn't have that vibe I'm after, I want it to be up beat, Ghost of Freedom is more of a lament for its heroes.

Guitars For Freedom

On top of being an awesome CD, as you see on the right side of the page, it also has a song by none other than Buckethead

The real song title is "Fortunate Son" by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

That would be Fortunate Son.

(Listed as Fortunate One in the original post!)

And I don't know wtf kind of music it'd be classified as, it's more of a poem with light background music, but Ragged Old Flag by Johnny Cash is a good patriot type of song.

You smell that? Do you smell that? ...Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed for twelve hours. When it was all over I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory.

Something you may find amusing:

Some folks are born made to wave the flag,
Ooh, they're red, white and blue.
And when the band plays "Hail to the chief",
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord,

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no senator's son, son.
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, no,

Good song? Absolutely
Patriotic? Hmm...
