Music : I like it, always liked that kinda flutish mideival sounding stuff.
Spell effects: Rox
Enemy models : Look fairly good, except...
Player models : THEY BITE HORRIBLY. Avalons are stick figures with hair and clothes. They're so thin I have trouble beleiving they don't fall over by a gentle gust of wind...
Kinda like Morrowind...
...and they're based off the same engine!
nah, it's a coincidence. I'm certain it's possible to get a decent humanoid model out of NetImmerse.
But I do like the Midgard models, though Trolls looks like golems and Kobolds look like Gremlins.

You should play Midgard Iseult, and meet Nifela...
She's my giant Troll Warrior, ^_^
The first time I did so, I had a Voodoo3, and could only get more then 1 FPS by staring at my feet. :/

Hibernian models, based off of the back of the box, look like ass too. But I can't say 100% for sure 'cuz I don't have any Hibbies.

Yeah, I've seen that one of the biggest gripes about the game is always the character models. Hopefully that will change some when they update the engine with the new add-on coming out in a few months.
November, actually. I can't fuckin' wait

A slight improvement on textures here and there. The BEST part about the expansion, by far, is the shadows and the water.
Travel is another problem I have with it. They were the first game to have horses, but you couldn't control them, just borrow them for the automated ride to the next town. The reason it seems so big is you have to walk everywhere pretty much. I think I remember hearing about teleportation in that game, but if they don't have it, they're dumb.
Also, the problem is like only a few classes dominate the game. The rogue types, inparticular. And from what I've seen, statistically on each server, Midgaard rules all. Albion does what they can and sometimes can fend off Midgaard and even take over a few places in Midgaard. Hibernia is just the joke of all servers from what I've seen. Balancing of classes/realms isn't exactly the game's strong points.
If DAOC were free every month (1 time purchase over the counter), I'd play it a little, would be a nice break from EQ. But I'm not rich, so can't afford 2 MMORPGs, so I stick with EQ.

1) Who the hell are you?
2) All your assertations about the game were incorrect, except for the lack of PvE in the higher end game, and the fact that certain classes (not realms) have a predilection for kicking the most ass.
On Lancelot, for the longest time, Albion held total sway. When Albion was unseated, they were unseated by Hibernia. Midgard still doesn't have substantial holdings.
In fact, if you need proof or further information, head over to Camelot Herald and check the realm status for Lancelot.
While you're there, sample the realm status for some of the other servers and see for yourself: as far as average realm domination goes, it's fairly balanced.
Classes are a slightly different matter. Rogues and bolt casters will find themselves racking up the majority of RP. This doesn't mean other classes are useless or even imbalanced in comparison, it just means they serve different functions.
And that does sorta make sense, yes? Stealth classes are designated assassins. Bolt casters are supposed to be destruction masters. Pure melees are the ubiquitous foot soldiers, sturdy in thier own right, but built to no extremes.
I think Tanks got a bad rap.
If you're in a guild, and that guild owns a keep, does that mean the guild is somewhat of an UBERguild?
Also, Maradon, when are you going to invite me into that guild you were talking about? Does your guild have a keep?
Also, playing RvR is a lot about the player as well.
My Blademaster, while pretty gimpy overall, can tear into a caster like no tomorrow, and if I sneak up anyone, I can do so much damage in my first 3-style chain it's not even funny, I get a ton of back attack styles, which deal massive damage and snare-type stuff, ideal for RvR.
And if I really get into trouble, I can whip open that third blade and go to town.
But yeah, this still doesn't make up for the fact that I can't solo in PvE worth anything, and groups hate my soul, and that if any tank class actually focuses on me, they can eat me whole.
0 Deaths, 7 kills. 3 of those kills were One-Shots on some poor Avalonian Caster. Just running along then, WHAM, dead. I bet he shit himself a couple times.
GO GO AOE DOTS!!
OH! And 1.53 goes live in the morning!!!

I think our alliance has a keep that we're partly responsible for getting into.
As far as an invite goes, I actually can't invite anyone. CBTao could, but he apparently doesn't play video games anymore (doh!).

Mythic does it a lot differently then Verant. They spend weeks at a time perfecting and perfecting again their content until it's pixel perfect, then they release all their work in one huge patch.

Actually, mythic just lists every little detail, Verant doesnt
They went from 1.53 to 1.53H (that's 8 fixes/changes) on the test server before putting it out live.
I haven't ever seen any major issues with Mythic's patches, except.. well, maybe once or twice. But they got fixed the same day in a rolling server patch that only took 20 minutes downtime per server
Not Verant's 'oops.. lets add another 12 hours downtime' style

Yeah, like the "Nerfing screaming terror" detail in the last patch.
