Fire rains down on the city.... then..
nothing else.
Gonna kill you, Kardan... You to, Parcelan.
quote:
There was much rejoicing when Humble Parcelan said this:
I give it two thumbs up!
You. When I get my claws on you I will tear your soul from your weaselly little body, and reanimate the corpse.
quote:
D'Syvat wrote, obviously thinking too hard:
You. When I get my claws on you I will tear your soul from your weaselly little body, and reanimate the corpse.
They wrote a song like that, but you kinda changed the lyrics after "You".
I giggle...for many, many reasons
Fae's Parcelan.. god damn you evil little bastard!
of course, I still can't shake the notion of a prairie dog in a hooded black cloak..

There was much rejoicing when Ka'Lourin D'thBlayde said this:
of course, I still can't shake the notion of a prairie dog in a hooded black cloak..
Some call me...The Grim Rodent.

Synjari impressed everyone with:
Pooh got 'roids?
*tries to be wittay and word Pooh bear roids to sound like poloroids*
*he fails*

This one time, at Synjari camp:
since I knew does this mean i r geeky?
check your town or any nearby ones for paperback trade stores. I bought most of what books I have now from this really big one in el paso.

And I was all like 'Oh yeah?' and Ka'Lourin D'thBlayde was all like:
pickup Death Takes a Vacation. great book
You mean 'Reaper Man'?
quote:
Niklas had this to say about (_|_):
You mean 'Reaper Man'?
is that the title of it? I couldn't remember, but the guy i borrowed it from kept referring to it death takes a vacation.
Either way, still a funny read
Was it the one where he was working in the small town on the harvest and he met the old lady, KaL, or the one involving Susan, his granddaughter?
Lyinar Ka`Bael, Piney Fresh Druidess - Luclin
He'd almost trip on the robe now and again too in my vision. Would make him all the more crabby I guess.
I'm sure the one KaL means is Reaper Man, because he gave up being Death for quite a while in that one, and it was more of a vacationy sort of thing rather than something of a strike like Soul Music. Only there was someone to take over in Soul Music.
So I was just curious which his friend meant, since it could be either.
Lyinar Ka`Bael, Piney Fresh Druidess - Luclin
Would he said SQUEAK too or something else?

This game started in October of 2001, with the original members of the group and three players being added a few months later.
So thay have had these characters for, almost, a year now. They have had quite a few ups and downs, and been put through literal hell. Kardan has come to learn he was screwed from the very begining, and D'Syvat has come to know the only good thing in his life is being taken from him. In Aleria: The Dark Tides, the shit has hit the fan.
The following is part of the story, that some of you may enjoy. It's pretty long. And thanks to Pved, after going back and editing this part to post, listening to "Black Hawk Down: Soundtrack - Leave No Man Behind" was actaully very fitting. It fits the atmosphere. I was actually kinda sad going back and reading it. And the Kardan/Jade and D'Syvat/Nevia PM conversations that were going on, ( I had to edit them out cause they made things confusing) damn near made me cry.
But here, and I hope you enjoy. The end of the world.
quote:
iGM: You stand before the once pristine gates of Evrealan. However, they now appear battered and marred. Entering the great elven capital you can see wreckage upon wreckage piled haphazardly around the open forested floor. Inhabitants scatter and move from pile to pile, and you can see new structures already being erected through the aftermath.Once great towers and crystalline halls lie shattered as far as the eye can see, but with determination in their eyes, many an elf move and work the area in attempts to restore it's once former beauty. Off to your left bodies of felled defenders lie in rows covered in lilies and other wild flowers with the prayers of the lamenting being heard clearly. The last defenders stood their ground, and it appears, at least in part, they manage to save some small part of their lives and heritage by their sacrifice. In either case it is readily apparent that the elves once former glory has since been shattered, and a new glory must begin
Elven Guard moves out to the front
Elven Guard: Kardan Derros
Ranyth Forsworn 's mouth drops open.
Elven Guard lowers his lance
Jade Shebari bows her head towards the Elven Guard
Kardan stops dead in his tracks, eyes wide with horror
Nevia Du'Lake glances up quickly, and soon wishes she hadn't...
Nevia Du'Lake: No...
Elven Guard: You have been expected
Jade Shebari looks sadly at the guard.
Kardan: It's.. true.
Abbigail WolfStalker continues walking, oblivious to the others, eyes wide and mouth hanging open at all the sights
D'Svyat looks around at the guards..
Kardan works his way forward to the guard
Pierce looks briefly at the ruins.
Elven Guard: The council seeks audience
Elven Guard: If your party would follow me..
Elven Guard face hardens
Nevia Du'Lake nods.
Kardan: Yes, of course.
D'Svyat: Certainly.
Kardan: Let us waste no more time
Elven Guard turns and begins moving off..
Kardan falls back towards the rest of the group
Nevia Du'Lake whispers under her breath, "I'm so sorry, Kardan..."
Kardan whispers "NO mention of the word slave"
GM: The other guards move around to flank the rear as you begin moving ahead towards a makeshift cathedral
Ranyth Forsworn follows last, trying to look at ease and contained
Abbigail WolfStalker bumps into a guard and looks up at him with wide eyes
Elven Guard #2 looks down at Abbigail with hardened eyes
D'Svyat goes with the group and guards.
Nevia Du'Lake looks to Kardan, almost questioningly.
Abbigail WolfStalker scurries over to the others, sticking close to Kardan and Jade this time, but still looking around with wide eyes and mouth hanging open
Faeth Es'Braewyn looks saddened by the death and loss, but moved ahead quietly
Jade Shebari follows along.
Kardan: Say nothing. Remain calm and polite.
Pierce follows the others saying nothing.
Nevia Du'Lake looks back down at Windancer.
GM: The bring you to the doors of the cathedral and motion you inside, all appear to be with contempt as they watch you pass..
D'Svyat enters the cathedral.
Kardan quickly enters the building
Nevia Du'Lake dismounts, resting her hand on Windancer's neck.
Abbigail WolfStalker follows Kardan and Jade slowly, head swiveling rapidly as she tries to look at everything at once
Ranyth Forsworn looks around the makeshift cathedral.
D'Svyat stays close to Nevia.
Ranyth Forsworn notes exits and other doorways.
Nevia Du'Lake looks downward, trying to avoid their gaze.
Pierce glances quickly around taking note of buildings layout then goes back to staring at the ground.
GM: YOu eneter the large chamber surrounded by 15 elven guards and stately men and women seated on haughty pillars, all appear to be staring down at you with contempt and looks of guilt in thier eyes
Seat Advisor - Parcelan stands up
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Kardan Derros!
Seat Advisor - Parcelan booms
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: You now stand before the last council
High Seat - Erandil Derros eyes his son, but says nothing.
Kardan steps forward
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: We have awaited your arrival for some time now.
Seat Advisor - Parcelan starts with a greasy smile eyeing Kardan.
Abbigail WolfStalker looks around at all the elves watching them, head tilting to one side and considering them all silently, then looks around the large chamber, staring at the intricate designs everywhere
High Seat - Erandil Derros: You have arrived to find yourself in judgement.
Kardan: I apologize to the members of the council for my delay..
Jade Shebari arches an eyebrow at Erandil
Kardan: Judgement?
High Seat - Erandil Derros: For the crimes against the elven nations and those against the nation of dwarves
Nevia Du'Lake looks downward.
Pierce looks up briefly at hearing Erandil's words.
Kardan: ... what?!
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: YOu shall not speak in the presence of the seat
GM: a set of six guards move forward to stand behind you
High Seat - Erandil Derros: You have been found guilty of the crimes against the watchers of these people.
Kardan: What crimes?
Ranyth Forsworn stands in mute appeal.
High Seat - Erandil Derros: For the aiding and abeding of one Balkor Voracid, a known murder, and killer of the high seats Daughter.... Your sister..
High Seat - Erandil Derros: You are guilty of knowingly aiding this criminal in his flight and evasion of justice.
Kardan 's eyes grow even wider
Kardan: WHAT?!
Seat Advisor - Parcelan smirks down at Kardan..
Nevia Du'Lake closes her eyes, not at all surprised.
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: You shall not speak I said, or contempt shall be added to the charges as well..
Faeth Es'Braewyn blinks
Faeth Es'Braewyn: This does not a appear to be justice to me...
Faeth Es'Braewyn mumbles quietly
Seat Advisor - Parcelan eyes Faeth
Kardan: With all due respect Seat Advisor, as a seat holder on this council, I do believe I hold the right to question the judgement I am accused of
D'Svyat agrees with Faeth.
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Does the Prince of Dorin wish comment? And Kardan you recieve no wording, you have been tried in proxy, this decision is final, further interuption before the reading of the charges will result in further punishment.
Faeth Es'Braewyn blinks at the mention of prince..
Jade Shebari crosses her arms, leaning her weight on one foot.
Kardan: I defy the ruling of the council
Nevia Du'Lake glances at Faeth, surprised.
Kardan: I demand to see evidence
Kardan: I demand to see who stood in "proxy" of my being.
High Seat - Erandil Derros: Proxy is always held by Seat Advisor..
Jade Shebari snarls softly
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Witnesses have come forth, and been found in earnest
Kardan: And when was this Advisor appointed? I recall no such person three months ago
Abbigail WolfStalker continues looking around the chamber in awe, not really paying attention to all the blathering.... adults always were so concerned over little things...
High Seat - Erandil Derros: IT is not your place to questions such as you stand accused... But for the record, Parcelan was appointed after his supreme efforts in saving out beloved peoples...
High Seat - Erandil Derros: Which if I should finish, also falls clearly on you...
High Seat - Erandil Derros glares.
Nevia Du'Lake whispers to herself, "The Heraphim.
Kardan: I do no believe you side with this ruling, Father.
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: A noteable guard from the township of Warrendale has been aquisitioned for testimony and relayed the information of your aid in escapeing justice from thier system.
High Seat - Erandil Derros: I side with justice...
Kardan: This justice is a mockery!
Ranyth Forsworn raises an eyebrow.
High Seat - Erandil Derros: I am clearly dissappointed in you my son...
High Seat - Erandil Derros stands up glaring in a loud voice.
Jade Shebari leans towards Kardan.. wishing to whisper something to him..
High Seat - Erandil Derros: THIS JUSTICE IS ALL THAT REMAINS BECAUSE OF YOU!!
High Seat - Erandil Derros: YOU ARE ALL THAT REMAIN, AS MY DAUGHTER IS NO MORE!!
Kardan raises his voice
High Seat - Erandil Derros: You have earned my contempt and the contempt of this council.
Kardan: Do you honestly believe I would take part in the murder of my own sister?!
Jade Shebari puts her hand on Kardan's arm.
Jade Shebari gently squeezes it in a reassuring manner.
High Seat - Erandil Derros: I will hear no more..Guards.. a word more, and he is to be killed on the spot..
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Assss... I was saying..
Pierce looks up at the guards nearby, raising an eyebrow.
Seat Advisor - Parcelan pipes in with a grin.
Ranyth Forsworn shakes his head.
Kardan growls
Ranyth Forsworn mutters "...much for elven nobilty..."
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: A guard in good standing provided the evidence of your deciet in the township of warrendale..
Seat Advisor - Parcelan turns to smile at a weasly guard nearby
Sniveling Guard rubs his hands together grinning and eyeing Abbigail
Jade Shebari snarls at the guard
Nevia Du'Lake looks to D helplessly.
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: And not one but two Caravan Guards who remian now in secrecy have spoken of your theft and betrayal leading to the release of the Heraphim
D'Svyat scowls, standing still.
Kardan 's arms remain at his side, fists clenched tightly
Faeth Es'Braewyn stands forward
Faeth Es'Braewyn: Wait! Thats not true
Jade Shebari shakes her head firmly
D'Svyat: This is not justice.
Nevia Du'Lake then looks up to Parcelan and Erandil Derros.
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Again does the prince speak against the laws of a foreign council
Jade Shebari looks over at Faeth
Seat Advisor - Parcelan grins
Faeth Es'Braewyn growls, not happy
Faeth Es'Braewyn steps down..
Abbigail WolfStalker 's eyes widen at the sight of the snivelling guard, and she turns to run from the chamber
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: YOu are charged with countless murders and betrayal of the elven and dwarven peoples.
Jade Shebari runs towards Abbigail
Jade Shebari: no..
Jade Shebari whispers softly
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: These charges also fall on one Kraknek of Orlander..
GM: A guard detains Abbigail as she moves
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: The penalty for these charges...
Seat Advisor - Parcelan almost smirks
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Is death...
Kardan remains silent, blood dripping from his wounded hand
Abbigail WolfStalker struggles wildly to get away, eyes wide as she looks at the snivelling guard
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: However...
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Since in part, you succeeded and have returned the key safely to the council..
Seat Advisor - Parcelan grins and licks his lips looking at Nevia..
Nevia Du'Lake looks up... "Key...?"
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Kardan Derros, you are graced with a quick and painless death by beheading at sunrise.
Kardan turns to Nevia
Jade Shebari looks at Kardan
Kardan reaches to his chest, and pulls the amulet out from beneath his clothing
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Kraknek of Orlander however, by direct word of your brother the new and last king of Orlander..
Pierce looks up at Parcelan, then to Kardan
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: You dead is to be immediate, as you stand in disgraces of your people.. You shall be hanged at sunset. This eve
Jade Shebari shakes her head, snarling.
GM: Kraknek raises his chin, but says not a word.
Ranyth Forsworn blinks, and looks around at his companions.
Ranyth Forsworn: I have a question.
Jade Shebari: As do I
Jade Shebari looks up
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: The voice of this council is final.. Guards detain the traitor Kardan Derros, and Kraknek at once, and bring the Key to the Advisory chamber at once.
Abbigail WolfStalker continues to struggle against the guard, getting wilder and wilder with every second
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: The council will not be questioned..
Seat Advisor - Parcelan looks down at Ranyth.
Jade Shebari: Oh yes they will!
Kardan stares in deep contempt at Parcelan, then to his father.
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: The fates of the others assembled has not yet been decided, you will be detained until further notice.
Ranyth Forsworn: Why are neither of these men allowed to speak in his own defense?
Jade Shebari: Considering Kardan OBVIOUSLY knew nothing of his sister's murderer and the fact that this man who we travelled with was that same person..
Seat Advisor - Parcelan grins at Ranyth
Jade Shebari: Considering that THIS guard should not be trusted as far as he could be thrown..
Ranyth Forsworn idle wonders how many teeth he could break in one hit.
Jade Shebari motions towards the guard
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: The proff is undeniable.. and the eye witness accounts have been tried and tested against even the best practitioners to be found valid and holding truth
Nevia Du'Lake: ((I dunno, I think we could throw him pretty far))
Jade Shebari: and let me see those.. witnesses from the caravan
Jade Shebari: How much you wanna bet those were the same two who stole away with the Rose
Ranyth Forsworn: So? Can't they at least have a closing statement?
Jade Shebari: the same two who looked at me as if they wanted to rape and bed me
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: The requested santuary as they feared for thier lives upon your return, your request is denied
Seat Advisor - Parcelan yawns
D'Svyat whispers to Faeth, "This is NOT. justice."
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: fine fine...
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Closing statements..
Seat Advisor - Parcelan waves a hand
Jade Shebari: feared for their lives because THEY were the cause of the death of so many
Faeth Es'Braewyn is begining to look very angry
Ranyth Forsworn nods to Parcelan.
Abbigail WolfStalker notes that she isnt going anywhere... and that the snivelling guard isnt approaching... and so calms down slightly
Jade Shebari: Whispering into Kardan's own father's ears
(Kardan to GM): I know, thats the pitiful part
Jade Shebari: as he hunted for this key you apperantly set him to find
Ranyth Forsworn: Kardan, Kraknek, speak well. I pray for you.
GM: Kraknek turns and offers his hands to the guards
Jade Shebari stares at Kardan's father
Ranyth Forsworn steps down, and closes his eyes.
GM: ((Remember Krkanek took the blame for all this, he wont even try and deny it))
Jade Shebari: You are blinded by this man's forked tongue
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: The woman tires mean...
Seat Advisor - Parcelan leans on an elbow
Nevia Du'Lake looks across the council...
Jade Shebari: He has done his best to do all you asked of him
Jade Shebari: trying hard not to stray from his path
Jade Shebari: always going forward on his mission
Jade Shebari: and some.. gimp.. comes out of the blue..
Abbigail WolfStalker moves back with the others (if the guard allows, but stays half-hidden behind Nevia
Jade Shebari: just because he helps the nation while your SON is out finding this key..
Jade Shebari: a key YOU all set him out to find
GM: The guards take Kraknek and escort him away while Jade fumes
Ranyth Forsworn: <<I knew he wouldn't, but Ranyth would have tried.>>
Jade Shebari: and then blame him for his lack of assistance here?
Jade Shebari: this is not just at all
Seat Advisor - Parcelan waves his hand, looking the other way..
Jade Shebari: to let a total stranger try and convict him
Jade Shebari: Father..
Jade Shebari looks at Kardan's father
GM: Guards begin to move forward with two reaching for Kardan, and two Reaching for Nevia.
Jade Shebari: you know your son is good at heart..
High Seat - Erandil Derros: I have no son...
High Seat - Erandil Derros interupts finnally
Kardan glares at the guards. "I still have a final statement to make"
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Very well, hurry hurry.. we have situations to deal with...
Jade Shebari: so youd listen to a total stranger over your own flesh and blood
Seat Advisor - Parcelan sighs
D'Svyat glares at the two guards..
Kardan: Jade, please. Their decisions are final
Nevia Du'Lake looks to the guards... a look of utter distress on her face as she drops her staff, letting it clatter to the floor.
Jade Shebari nods at Kardan
Nevia Du'Lake: I don't understand...
Jade Shebari: they will probably let that guard have his way with your daughter..
Ranyth Forsworn prays silently.
Jade Shebari: they will probably have those caravan scum let them have their way with me
Jade Shebari: but sure..
Jade Shebari: their decisions are final..
Jade Shebari: this court is a mockery
Jade Shebari quiets
Nevia Du'Lake struggles slightly, but no real heart in it.
GM: The other 14 guards move up ready for trouble, with another dozen entering from the doors beyond
Kardan: and come sunrise., I get to see the two women I love dearly for the last time as my head bounces down a wooden platform into a basket
Jade Shebari walks over to Faeth
Jade Shebari: our differences aside
Jade Shebari: let no harm come to her..
Kardan: Ladies and Gentlemen of this council
Jade Shebari touches her arm and motions towards Nevia
Jade Shebari: she is an innocent in all this..
Faeth Es'Braewyn turns to Jade
Kardan: I have served this council and my people with nothing but loyalty and honor
Faeth Es'Braewyn: No hamr shall fall her..
Jade Shebari looks genuinely distressed and concerned
Faeth Es'Braewyn speaks up
Faeth Es'Braewyn: I request to accompany Nevia during her acquisition
Seat Advisor - Parcelan raise a brow..
Seat Advisor - Parcelan smirks
D'Svyat: As do I!
Jade Shebari: please protect her father as well..
Kardan: A quest, thrust into my hands at the most dire of times was taken without question.
Jade Shebari whispers to Faeth
Jade Shebari: he is all that she has..
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Very well.. after her questioning, the prince may join us..
Jade Shebari: her only family..
Jade Shebari: and she is all that he has..
Seat Advisor - Parcelan eyes D'Syvat trying to see under his hood..
Jade Shebari leaves Faeth's side and stands next to Kardan.
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Who are you... anyway.. and why do you hide yourself from the light?
Seat Advisor - Parcelan perks in interest
Kardan rolls his eyes
GM: The council is listening to Kardan, but Parcelan has shown some curiosity in D
Abbigail WolfStalker stands beside Nevia
D'Svyat looks up at Parcelan. "You need not concern yourself with me. However, my request stands."
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Show youself to this court...
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Show yourself to the light then should you wish our concideration
Faeth Es'Braewyn stands in front of D'Syvat
Kardan: I have succeeded in that quest for the glory of my people, and now I stand before you, judged for circumstances out of my control
Faeth Es'Braewyn: I vouch for him...
Faeth Es'Braewyn stares Parcelan down..
Kardan: Cast down by my own father, and held guilty without so much as a word from my own mouth.
Seat Advisor - Parcelan smirks...
Kardan: I have but one request, upon my imminent execution
Seat Advisor - Parcelan wanders back, absently listening to Kardan again.
Abbigail WolfStalker stares at Parcelan, head slowly tilting to one side as she studies him
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Yes, yes what is it Kardan..
Seat Advisor - Parcelan waves a hand
Kardan: that my wife and daughter be set free. The council has what it requested of me. and I submit to it's final judgement, no matter how much I don't agree with it
Seat Advisor - Parcelan frowns and ponders this..
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: YOu will accept your fate without further problems?
Seat Advisor - Parcelan turns to whisper in Erandil's ear
Jade Shebari shakes her head, whispering.. 'Id rather you live.. my love..'
High Seat - Erandil Derros listens for a moment and nods..
Jade Shebari 's eyes tear up
Kardan: Who am I to question the council's judgement further? Clearly it is being done in the best interest of "my" people
Kardan turns to Jade
Abbigail WolfStalker walks forward to stand in front of Parcelan, and stares at him curiously
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Very well.. request Granted.. After the execution they shall be set free
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Now if we are finished here?
Kardan: I'd rather live too my love. But I either die here and now skewered by a dozen guards
Seat Advisor - Parcelan raises a brow
Kardan: or at sunrise.
Nevia Du'Lake glances to the two guards, the saddest possible look on her face.
Jade Shebari: I request something as well
Pierce whispers to Kardan "You think you can trust him to grant your final wish?"
Seat Advisor - Parcelan sighs, looking impatient
Jade Shebari: that I spend his final evening with him)
Kardan whispers back "No. but perhaps the rest will listen"
Seat Advisor - Parcelan tries hard not to break into a full smile
Seat Advisor - Parcelan looks back at Erandil
Abbigail WolfStalker pokes Parcelan, staring at him
Seat Advisor - Parcelan: Very well..
Seat Advisor - Parcelan turns grinning at Jade..
Pierce shakes his head "I doubt they will, he seems to have wormed his way in to far."
Abbigail WolfStalker: <<why does she get the feeling she knows this guy from somewhere??>>
(Kardan to GM): you suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
Seat Advisor - Parcelan the two guards holding Nevia haul her away.
Jade Shebari looks at Abbigail
Nevia Du'Lake: No... We didn't do anything!
Abbigail WolfStalker: <<Yes.. that's it.... but how do we expose him?>>
Kardan turns away from the council to his friends
Nevia Du'Lake writhes in their graps as she's pulled away.
Nevia Du'Lake: ((We don't know ))
Kardan: My friends.. I'm sorry it came to this. I wish I could have told you sooner
GM: Nevia is pulled from view
Kardan looks at Faeth
Rosaline: ((Fuxx0rz))
Abbigail WolfStalker pokes Parcelan again, and frowns at him, then makes the elvish sign against evil in his face
Kardan: You know what they will do to her
Faeth Es'Braewyn gritts his teeth...
Faeth Es'Braewyn: Not in this lifetime..
Faeth Es'Braewyn glances at Kardan..
Jade Shebari: Faeth was sent to protect her...
Jade Shebari: he wont let them
Rosaline ((doesn't know what they'll do to her, X_X))
Jade Shebari: now THEY are interfereing with foreign law are they not?
Jade Shebari whispers
Kardan: Then succeed in your duty paladin of Dorin. The gods know I failed in mine.
Faeth Es'Braewyn nudges D'Syvat and motions him to follow
D'Svyat does so.
Kardan turns back to the council
Kardan: I have no further words for the council
Jade Shebari murmurs at Fae and D
Jade Shebari: may the blessing of the gods go with you.. and I pray they hear my prayers..
Jade Shebari: for once in my life.. I pray..
D'Svyat is truly seething..
Ranyth Forsworn finally raises his head, and slowly shakes it.
GM: The two guards holding Kardan proceed to lead him away
Pierce shakes his head.
GM: The other guards escort those remaining outside..
Pierce : What kind of man would allow put his own son to death.
GM: Peirce, Ranyth
Abbigail WolfStalker spins and races to Kardan, taking his arm and starts to wail loudly, no actual words, just a long wailing scream
Jade Shebari begins weeping
GM: Guards beging pushing you away Abbigail
Kardan: Guards, please.
Kardan: I'm not going to run
Abbigail WolfStalker growls at the guards, and hangs onto Kardan tightly
GM: The guards step down reluctantly
Abbigail WolfStalker: <<dont make me angry Mr man.. you wouldnt like me when I'm angry...>>
Pierce looks up to the council. "At least my father allowed me to live." He then turns away and starts for the doors.
Kardan: Abbi..
Kardan: Abbi.. no. There'll be another time.
Kardan: You have to take care of Jade now
GM: Kardan is escorted to a cell and chained by shackles to the walls, Nevia is escorted to a chamber alone, with Faeth following in and D'Syvat being witheld and made to wait.
Abbigail WolfStalker shakes her head and tugs on Kardan's arm
Kardan: You can't do anything more for me my daughter..
Ranyth Forsworn: You judge when you don't understand.
Kardan: Jade, she needs you
Ranyth Forsworn: Fare well, elves.
Rosaline whimpers...
GM: Okay DM Note, Peirce and Ranyth all people not being killed RP amongst yourselves.
GM: Rosa, and Kardan PMs in main room.
Jade Shebari: erm
Pierce looks to Ranyth "This is not right, there has to be someway to stop it."
Ranyth Forsworn nods sadly.
Ranyth Forsworn: There are hundreds, maybe thousands of elves against us.
Ranyth Forsworn: So an all out attack is out.
Ranyth Forsworn grins weakly.
Pierce : True, but stealth may work.
D'Svyat stares at Faeth, "We must stop them..we must."
Ranyth Forsworn: So, lets catalogue what we have to do.
Pierce : And if we fail, at least we can die knowing we tried.
Ranyth Forsworn nods.
Ranyth Forsworn: We have to break free Kardan, Nevia, and Kraknek.
Abbigail WolfStalker starts to wail quite loudly with no Kardan around, and starts to look agitated
Jade Shebari: <<just the bit itself made me cry =(>>
Pierce : Kardan would be best to free first, his skills would be most useful if things start to go bad.
GM: Jade you are removed from Kardan's cell as Parcelan comes to pay him a visit for a private meeting, you can enter afterwards
(Kardan to GM): so.. what exactly happens when a 97 bloodline blooded is publicly executed?
Jade Shebari: << haet you Fae >>
D'Svyat: <<Yeah. Don't think I needed the music for it.>>
Ranyth Forsworn: Agreed. Then Kraknek, then Nevia.
Pierce : Yes.
Ranyth Forsworn: Though I have a bad feeling about Kraknek...
(Kardan to GM): ... ooo this is gonna get messy isnt it
Pierce nods
Pierce : He seems to have accepted his fate.
Pierce : And, as much as I hate to say this, his execuation would be a good distraction.
Ranyth Forsworn: I wouldn't go that far, but I doubt he will come with us.
Ranyth Forsworn: You realize, once we comit to this, if we fail, we will die.
Pierce : The councils attention will be on the execuation, leaving only a few guards, I'd imagine, at Kardan's cell.
Ranyth Forsworn nods.
Ranyth Forsworn: So, we need to figure out where they are.
Pierce nods
Ranyth Forsworn: Abbigail?
Pierce : We saw the direction they lead them off...let us head that way.
Ranyth Forsworn: Wait
Pierce : Yes?
Ranyth Forsworn: Shouldn't we wait a bit, for more gaurds, people to go to sleep, and not be wandering the halls?
Pierce nods
Pierce : Yes we should, I was getting ahead of myself.
Ranyth Forsworn: Alright.
(D'Svyat to GM): BTW. You succeeded. You made meh outright cry. Synny too.
Pierce : Hm, lets see if there is an alternate exit to this city.
Ranyth Forsworn: Are we free to wander around, then?
Pierce : I'm not quite sure.
Ranyth Forsworn shrugs.
Ranyth Forsworn: If we can't, they'll let us know.
Pierce : I'd imagine you're right.
D'Svyat: <<I'm still all teary from that last bit.>>
Rosaline: ((Me to, but I do that easily))
Kardan slumps against the wall, chained to his cell
GM: Jade you can reneter Kardans chambers, and you can RP in PMs in GRIP so I can see em
GM: Elves are assembling in the courtyard outside.. and the erection of the hangsman's pike is being set into play
Pierce wanders around the city
Ranyth Forsworn follows Pierce, discreetly pointing out exits and entrances
Pierce makes mental notes of any exits that will be well shadowded.
D'Svyat paces...
Pierce : Ranyth, I need a moment or two alone, I will catch up with you in a few minutes all right?
Ranyth Forsworn nods.
Ranyth Forsworn: I understand, take as much time as you need, I'll be over there.
Ranyth Forsworn points to a street corner.
Kardan: (drugdealer)
Ranyth Forsworn: <<Prostitue, actually>>
Ranyth Forsworn: <<I have high CON>>
Pierce nods and walks off.
Faeth Es'Braewyn exits Nevia's chamber and D'Syvat is allowed in.
Faeth Es'Braewyn hurridly gathers up Abbigail if he can find her and searches for the others
D'Svyat enters the chamber, nodding at Faeth, his brow racked with worry..
Abbigail WolfStalker is gathered up by the paladin
Faeth Es'Braewyn drags Abbigail along and outside
Faeth Es'Braewyn serches for Ranyth.
GM: D and Nevia can RP PMs in here.. for a few minutes
Faeth Es'Braewyn finds Ranyth and drags him, even if he objects.. in which case, you can try and resist
Ranyth Forsworn: <<He sees Ranyth offering little bags to rich kids.>>
Ranyth Forsworn: Hey...what's going on here?
Faeth Es'Braewyn: NO questions..
Faeth Es'Braewyn: Move
Ranyth Forsworn: I don't think so.
Ranyth Forsworn: Tell me whats going on.
Faeth Es'Braewyn glares at Ranyth
Faeth Es'Braewyn: Injustice
Abbigail WolfStalker looks at the paladin curiously
Faeth Es'Braewyn: Isnt that obvious?
Faeth Es'Braewyn: Or are you that dense?
Faeth Es'Braewyn: Now I said move
Faeth Es'Braewyn shoves Ranyth
Ranyth Forsworn shoves back.
GM rolls 1d20 for a result of 17
Faeth Es'Braewyn: +4
Ranyth Forsworn: I can walk by myself.
Ranyth Forsworn: Lets go.
Ranyth Forsworn makes a Strength check, rolling 11 + 2 = 13
GM: He's not waiting for you
Faeth Es'Braewyn searches out Peirce and does likewise
GM: Are you going to resist
Pierce : No, just glare a lot.
Faeth Es'Braewyn moves you all to the courtyard, ignoreing the moving elves.
Faeth Es'Braewyn stops
Faeth Es'Braewyn: This is wrong...
Faeth Es'Braewyn glares.
Pierce : Really?
Faeth Es'Braewyn: And I am powerless
Abbigail WolfStalker rolls her eyes and looks at the paladin, then points at all the others
Ranyth Forsworn: You always have choices, nieghbor.
Faeth Es'Braewyn paces a lot
Pierce : Did you gather us up for a reason Faeth, or just to inform us you are powerless?
Faeth Es'Braewyn: I gathered you up to admit failure...
Faeth Es'Braewyn glares at Perice
Faeth Es'Braewyn: I cannot help you.
Faeth Es'Braewyn: You are on your own..
Pierce : Fine, then go coward.
Faeth Es'Braewyn looks sadly at Abbigail
Pierce : I expected nothing more from you.
Abbigail WolfStalker looks at Faeth, now confused
Faeth Es'Braewyn: I amd truely saddened to see one such as yourself, and so young locked into thise
Pierce : You could help Faeth, you are just afraid to.
Ranyth Forsworn: Spare us your pity. Leave if you want.'
Faeth Es'Braewyn: I must do my duty... My trust falls onto to you young one.. They are your responcibility now.
Faeth Es'Braewyn: I have my duties and it does not include you two.
Faeth Es'Braewyn glares at the others.
Faeth Es'Braewyn: I brought you here for my well wishesPierce : What are your duties Faeth? Running if anything gets bad?
Faeth Es'Braewyn: And to give something to the young one.
Ranyth Forsworn: If you harm her...
Abbigail WolfStalker: Bu..but... what can I do?? *abbi's voice is barely more than a whisper* (note: First time she has actually spoken to anyone except Kardan or Jade.. or publically)
Faeth Es'Braewyn hands Abbigail a tiny jeweled necklace, bearing a broach shaped like an angel bearing a sword.
Faeth Es'Braewyn: When the time comes... You will know what to do with that..
Faeth Es'Braewyn: It is the only aid I can give you.
Faeth Es'Braewyn: I am sorry.
Faeth Es'Braewyn frowns, looking terribly upset
Abbigail WolfStalker looks at the necklace, then at Faeth
Faeth Es'Braewyn bows
Faeth Es'Braewyn and turns moving away.
Faeth Es'Braewyn stops
Kardan: (( one thing a paladin hates more that faithless magic wielding heathens, gross misconduct of justice))
Pierce : I doubt you are sorry you fucking coward.
Faeth Es'Braewyn: Desert Son.
Faeth Es'Braewyn glances at Ranyth
Abbigail WolfStalker: bu.. but... I don't know what to do... *voice still little more than a whisper*
Ranyth Forsworn raises an eyebrow?
Ranyth Forsworn: Can I help you?
Faeth Es'Braewyn: Your job is far from over.. Take heart.. Your strength will be a saving grace very soon.. Be prepared, and do not fail the children of the desert.
Faeth Es'Braewyn stares intently at Ranyth
Faeth Es'Braewyn begins to leave leaves
Ranyth Forsworn silently memorizes those words
Ranyth Forsworn: Children of the desert?
GM: Several guards eneter Nevia's chamber and forcefully begin to remove D'Syvat
Ranyth Forsworn furrows his brow.
Pierce finds something to punch.
GM: It is time they say, and lower their weapons until you comply
Abbigail WolfStalker turns the necklace over in her hands, looking at it, wondering what it does
GM: When he falls the guards physcailly begin to remove him..
GM: Dragging if nessesary
D'Svyat is drug off, looking up at Nevia..
Ranyth Forsworn: Alright, Pierce
Ranyth Forsworn: It's almost time.
GM: Several guards can bee seen dragging D'Syvat where you guys are standing
Pierce takes a deep breath "Yes, yes it is."
GM: After spying you, they begin to drag him towards you.
GM: And drop him at your feet
GM: Then leave
Pierce offers a hand to D'Svyat
D'Svyat lays on the ground at your feet, just crying..
GM: Jade, you suffer something similar to D'Syvat
Pierce : Where are they being held?
GM: Until you are all standing in the courtyard.
Ranyth Forsworn: D, get up. We are going to save Kardan, Nevia, and Kranek.
GM: In the courtyard near the hangmans pike.
Abbigail WolfStalker looks at all the others, then at the necklace in her hands, and then looks at the sky
D'Svyat Stands at that, his golden eyes burning in a furvor.
GM: You all see Jade being treatd in much the same matter as D'Syvat was
GM: and dropped at your feet.
Pierce helps Jade up.
Ranyth Forsworn: Alright, ladies and gentlemen.
GM: The trumpets roar from across the courtyard and you are forced to take pause
Ranyth Forsworn: Pierce and I think we should go for Kardan first, Kranek, then~
iGM: As eve falls, and the torches are lit around the hangman's stand, dark and ominous shadows begin to play mischief against the elvenwood trees. A quiet rumbling can be heard from the skies above as the peoples of Evrealan gather round to bear witness to the retribution against an age. The hangman's pike and stand creak and sway eerily in the late day winds as if protesting this newest event, yet it stands tall. Waiting.
A small procession in ceremonial elven armor and adornments enter the opened courtyard from the cathedral gates. Hushed whispers echo amidst the spectators as the guardsmen lead, chained and broken, a stalwart dwarf by the yolk. Shuffling his feet and not looking up, Kraknek shambles on as the heavy chains towards the hangman's pike pull him. His footsteps seem slowed and methodical, as if he is just going through the paces in his head. The broken dwarf doesn't appear to acknowledge anyone as he is being led, and the all too familiar fire seems absent from his worn and haggard face.
As the small party approaches the hangman's stand, the hushed whispers of the crowd increase, and you can make out phrases such as "justice" and "It's about time..." in the audience, while by Erandil Derros' side, Parcelan stands with his greasy smile mocking you, as he watches you, treasuring your misery. He leans over to whisper in Erandil Derros' ear, and points in your direction with another twisted smile hidden behind the elder's back, and you see the elder frown slightly before returning his attentions to the procession. Parcelan appears pleased with the reaction, and begins feigning interest in the courtyard activities, yet never letting his eyes, or his hungry grin leave you.
Kraknek is lead up the crafted ramp by the chain around his throat, and shambles aimlessly forward. A rather tall elf with a face that could have been carved from stone, removes the chain and replaces it with a study vinewood rope. He then steps aside as another tall elf approaches, adorned in fine silks and a heavily crafted ceremonial cowl.
"For the crimes against the elven nations," the cowled elf begins, " and for crime against the nations of the dwarves. Kraknek, betrayer, deceiever, you have been found guilty for your hand in bringing about this doom!" He pauses for a moment, as a hush falls over the audience. Searching Kraknek's face, the executioner's face hardens. " From this day forth, your name, and your fathers name shall be stricken from the stones of Orlander. The very utterance of your name shall henceforth be blasphemy, and your disgrace shall live down through the ages. May whatever gods you follow give you mercy, for, in this world, no longer will you find it..." His decree completed, he nods slightly to the stone faced elf holding the latch.
With a swift motion, the stone faced elf releases the latch to the hangman's pike, as the floor falls from beneath Kraknek and he dives through the fallaway door. There is an audible snap, as the vinewood rope recoils and tightens into place. Kraknek's neck contorts violently as the thrashing begins. His hands, bound behind him, rake at his shackles as his back arcs and his free feet begin to kick frantically in place Desperately gasping between clenched teeth for air, as his face turns several shades of red when small veins begin to show, he appears to be trying to call out... But no audible sound can be heard, as his life breath begins to leave him. His body clenching, he jerks brutally in place.. Once.. Twice... Then stops, as his open eyes go slack, and a dark indigo shade falls over his strangled face.
A hushed murmur falls over the crowd, some weeping, some sighing in relief, some seeming not entirely sure justice was done, but all.. Humble.. Silence falls, as the final darkness comes. In the distance, off a ways to the west, a low rumble can be heard.. Creeping, moving, stalking closer, when suddenly a loud roar from the heavens is heard. The ground begins to shake, and great fissures erupt in place, spouting fire, stone, and hot boiling steam. The sky roars again, as the thunder begins to roll directly overhead, the clouds turning to a dark crimson red. The color of fury, the color of rage... The color of blood.
Lightening races towards the earthen court, accompanied by flaming stones of fire, igniting on contact and sending several an elf to a firey fate. Flames erupt from all around as elf after elf in the courtyard is consumed in a raging torent of fire and anger. Most meteors of flaming stones crash randomly throughout the area, striking wherever they may, no heed to the cries of children, no heed to the calls of the innocent.. The gods have been angered, and "true" justice is apon you...
Pierce looks at Ranyth "Kranek's death is our only chance to help the others."
Abbigail WolfStalker: *quietly* I think Kraknek should be first.. after all... the advisor did say he would be hung at sunset... and that's now...
D'Svyat: Nevia...
Pierce : Kardan, now.
Kardan: ((oh bloody hell )
Ranyth Forsworn: <<The shit just hit the fan..>>
GM: The ground shakes and begins to quake beneath your feet, jutting stones and spearing death.
D'Svyat straightens, surveying the destruction.
Pierce : This is a good as a distraction were going to get, let's go get Kardan and Nevia.
Ranyth Forsworn nods sadly.
D'Svyat: Nevia and Kardan. Yes. Now.
Ranyth Forsworn: D, lead the way-....
GM: a screaming woman set a blaze runs into the group and falls at your feet.... The sky is quiet... and darkness... the thickest darkness imaginable falls... the shadow has fallen... and the tides have gone dark.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GM: And we stop
Ranyth Forsworn: !!!
Ranyth Forsworn: Damnit!
Pierce : Oh no!!!
Nevia Du'Lake: Bastard.
D'Svyat: Evil!
Abbigail WolfStalker: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
Nevia Du'Lake: So not right.
I'm not a very good writer, and my grammar positively reeks. I hope it's not too hard on those of you reading it...
Kraknek was already doomed, cause with Art's leeaving I had to write him out. [ 09-08-2002: Message edited by: Faelynn LeAndris ]

So quoth Lyinar Ka`Bael:
He sort of halfway took a vacation in Soul Music too, though. Was it the one where he was working in the small town on the harvest and he met the old lady, KaL, or the one involving Susan, his granddaughter?
On the farm. He took up the alias of Bill Door
I just wanted to thank you for the hours (Well, minutes) of amusement this has provided me with. Hearing players bitch, whine, and complain, about a game they thouroughly enjoyed..
It's nice to see that I'm not the only one to borrow EC names for use in a game.
