I feel so...controlled.
Btw, Quincy is back. ;D [ 09-02-2002: Message edited by: Ryuujin the Leezard ]
The problem is, though, I think I'm going to have to request he gives it back to me.
Azakias still mumbles about Tok and Pesco being evil.
You are not being controlled.

I'm in a wierd niche. Necros were at the same time so right for me, and yet so wrong.
I play my monk lots though, when I toggle back from DAoC.

I feel the same way about Wizards... They are MY class. I will never, no matter what level my alts reach, feel I am anything but a Wizard at heart. Yet, my class drives me crazy a lot of the time.
I find it getting better and better though as I get closer and closer to the "End Game"

I'd play an EQ wizard if I could kill blue cons with two bolts and a nuke.
There's always a difference with EQ and DAoC for me when playing a nuker. It takes a while to kill a monster in EQ, but I see a notable increase on my experience bar. In DAoC, I get a little dribble of experience for a battle that lasts 5 seconds. It seems really repetetive sometimes.

I dunno, the exp flow in DAoC seems pretty much the same as in EQ to me.

It's way more repetetive in DAoC for me. Killing that same plasmatasm over and over and over and over using the same strategy over and seeing your EXP bar dribble up a bit seems more repetetive then a longer fight for more EXP. At least, to me it does.
code:
# of PC in group Mob % exp Exp/PC
1 100 100%
2 200 100%
3 400 133%
4 800 200%
5 1200 240%
6 1600 266%
The mob gives a BIG boost of exp so grouping is actually means faster leveling. The bad side is that you kill mobs SO fast that you generally have wait for them to spawn which is kind of a big bore
Every level mob gives twice as much experience as a mob 1 level below it.
So a group of 2 can take a mob 1 level above normal, so both people get 100% experience.
A group of 3 can take a mob 1 level higher then a group of 2, getting them 133% experience.
A group of 4 can take a mob 1 level above a group of 3, getting them 200% experience
etc...

Since it was pretty much similiar, I just edited Lashs.

Some corrections. I believe you mean con there, not level. Exp doesn't *double* for mobs one con higher, nor even 2-3 cons higher, especially at high levels.
A group of 2 are supposed to take yellows/oranges. A group of 3 are supposed to take oranges/reds. A group of 4 are supposed to take reds/purples. 4+ are supposed to take purples.
Even then, its quite flexable. Many classes can solo yellows/oranges effectively, or duo reds/purples. I'm not even figuring in BAF, camp code, group code, exp decreasing, etc.

Heh, EQ for me became an overwelling timesink... Finally, I had the courage to just hand my stuff (everything tradable) to some person in the bazaar that was shouting how he wanted to borrow 2kpp.... Just did it today, deleted all EQ stuff and going to have a trashing event of the CDs....
