I hate when I lie in bed for a couple hours tired but unable to sleep.

This always happens as school approaches.

Also, is it impossible for anyone else to get comfortable in a bed sometimes? I don't feel right without a blanket over me, but blanket and fan is way too warm.

Well, you remember that Angst Thread I posted? That's what was happening with me, I still havn't slept well lately, any semblance of a schedule I had has gone to hell.

I guess it happens to a lot of people.

Last year, it mostly took place the night before the first day of school (such fun). I still have until this coming Friday until it starts, and I'm hoping this won't be the trend all the way from now until then.

Pull an all-nighter, and force yourself to sleep early the next night. That usually fixes my sleep schedule. Tis what I'm doing right now.

I always have this problem before a Tournament or Testing. Really no good reason except nerves I guess. I try to plan for it is something is coming up that I know will cause it.
Sometimes though it just happens and you have to do like what was said above. Stay up and just push through till the next night. If you still cna't sleep chances are that there is something wrong medically that is causing it and you should see a doctor. The innability to sleep after 48 hours of being up is normally a sign of something very wrong.

I just did one of those a couple days ago.

Not fun.

Go camping. By the end, you'll be so fucking tired you won't want to stay up later than 9PM.

Been there, done that, just last night in fact...

Damn I wish I could sleep when I want to... It doesn't seem to want to let me...

Not that I know what "It" is, but still...

Arg, I want to sleep now that it's noon, and I'm pretty sure I could, but I have to keep going...

That used to happen to me, right before school I wouldn't be able to fall asleep until like 3 A.M. I never did fix it, I just started to hum or sing songs to pass the time.

I have the same problems. However.. couches are better than beds. And sheets are better than blankets.

And, short term, caffiene is better than sleep.

geez, i guess i'm lucky...

I can fall asleep in a parka, on a couch, under blankets, in the middle of summer (did it once on a dare)

It never takes more than 3-5 minutes of laying there and then i'm out cold.

Most impressive one was sleeping naked on the ground under a pine tree through a thunderstorm. The hardest part was getting the fire started again in the morning.

Bite me.

No, Really. Bite me.

I was a constant insomniac in high school. I would get wired throughout the school day, be wired by marching band or up doing homework, then I wouldn't be able to sleep, beacuse my brain wouldn't shut down.

I got used to functioning on as little as 3 hours of sleep, but no more than 6.
