If I wanted to worry about levelling heroes up, I'd play a bloody damned RPG!

Every fight I've been in so far, has been a race to creep...which I suck at.

I do really well at creeping... for about twenty seconds

Then my efforts stall while I try to juggle scouting, upgrading, training, expanding... gah!

[EDIT] Hey, want to play a game? I want to expand my horizons and play a different race, so I'll practically be at square one

Once more into the breach, my friends, once more. We'll close the wall with our dead. In peace, nothing so becomes a man as modesty and humility, but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger, summon up the blood, disguise fair nature with rage and lend the eye a terrible aspect.

Sorry, but I'm not touching that game for the rest of the night. Maybe tomorrow...

Creeping gives you gold and items. What's not to like?

Levelling the hero is a pleasant side effect

In the beginning, you don't creep for experience to level your hero

You kill creeps for gold to boost your economy

Levels are nice little bonuses you get for boosting your economy

Far Seer, Arch Magi, Blademaster... anyone that can summon something can go kil level 1 --> 3 creeps bythemselves right away easily

Good, quick money

Never fear, I shall return! This is only for a week!

In my humble experience with the Undead, I've found that the Dreadlord can get away with soloing small groups of creeps with judicious use of the Sleep ability.

However, he doesn't have the melee ability to stand up to anything more than, say, a Gnoll Brute and a couple of poachers, so be cautious. Nothing sucks worse than losing your lead Hero to a Creep in the first six minutes

[EDIT] To! TO!

And incidentally, man, how did I ever win *any* games without Vampiric Aura?
