Didn't watch the second game, but the first went rather well.

My only tips would be concerning early building :

You seem to have a different approach to your build order, whereby you have your initial peons/peasants work for a while before bulding the usual altar/farm/ 3rd depends upon race.

I'd suggest sticking 2 peons into the mine, 1 onto wood, 1 onto building an altar, and the other to a burrow right off the bat.

Probably not what you were looking for, but feedback nonetheless

You can let one of the peons work untill your sixth peon is about 65% finished, then build the burrows, the burrows and the altar will be finished at the same time.

Life... is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless, perfunctory gift that nobody ever asks for. Unreturnable, because all you get back is another box of chocolates. You're stuck with this undefinable whipped-mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down when there's nothing else left to eat. Sure, once in a while, there's a peanut butter cup, or an English toffee. But they're gone too fast, the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits, filled with hardened jelly and teeth-crunching nuts, and if you're desperate enough to eat those, all you've got left is a... is an empty box... filled with useless, brown paper wrappers.

No War3 here, so can't watch or comment

Sorry

But yeah, build an alter right away, and then make a farm once the alter is at around 200hp or so to insure it gets finished just as the alter is

Never fear, I shall return! This is only for a week!

Aboot the start of the game:

I always put all my initial peons to work. Three gold, two lumber. This is to give me enough resources to build what I want, and this strategy hasn't failed me since the beginning.

Then, I get to work on two peons. Sometimes, both build Burrows, sometimes one builds a Burrow and one builds an Altar. I'll occasionally make another Peon and have him help out with stuff, building yet another burrow, but once I have all the beginning stuff I have only one or two builders. The rest are sent to mine/harvest. During this time, I've also made it so by the time I get a Stronghold, I have 10 peons gathering resources (Only 5 on the mine, do the math) and my hero has been oot and aboot for some leveling with a small troop.

I just improvise from then on. Thus far, it's worked.

All times are US/Eastern
