Should've said something, but I've said it enough

1. Isn't it supposed to be "At last," not "Alas?"
2. Doesn't the particle effect on that thing just suck ass? It's like a tiny pixel and you have to get one inch away from the blade to see it.

Nearly every 51+ rogue that has friends has a RageBringer.

Yes.

Congrats nonetheless It is a very fine item.
And I don't see what the big deal with the particle effect is. I mean, does an item REALLY need gaudy, huge, shovels full of snow, glitter, sparkles, and pixies flying around it to be cool looking?

Quiet, Duckboy.
Seriously this time, though, I don't really like how the Rogue Epic looks at all, particle effect or lack thereof notwithstanding. [ 07-13-2002: Message edited by: Arttemis the Rogue ]

NO, ESPECIALLY FOR A ROGUE. HELLO. WOULD IT MAKE ANY SENSE FOR A ROGUE -- MASTER OF SNEAKING AND HIDING IN THE SHADOWS -- TO HAVE A BIG, BOLD, FLASHY WEAPON?!

No, but it would be nice if I didn't need a jewler's eyeglass to see it.
It needs a cool glowy green aura on the blade, kinda like the warrior epic.

Considering when the epics were designed, they were SUPPOSED to have particle effects, as they were inspired by the Sword of Guidance that Guides and GMs wielded...yes.
The particle effect on the ragebringer is a VERY TINY drop of poison.

I dunno.
Does it make any sense for the rogue's PoG armor to be bright blazing YELLOW?

Uh, it's not anymore. =P It used to be, way back when...
Now it's like, dark black/blue and spotted. Looks kinda neat.

A lot of other epics are a lot harder. Mostly the caster epics. The monk epic is about on par. The rogue one just catches the most heat because it was the first one ever obtained by anyone.
I do wish that the ragebringer had a better particle effect, though. I don't buy that 'Assassins shouldn't be flashy and stuff' argument. I think that VI was just lazee. [ 07-13-2002: Message edited by: Khyron ]

It does? Hmmm. Last I heard, assassins armor was bright yellow stuff.

Fuck all of em mocking your accomplishment. It means something to you, and you're happy, so that's all that matters.

After all, who are you often ruder to? A stranger or a family member?
The Ragebringer has a small particle effect because the majority of the rogue community wanted it that way.
The only real change they want is for the ragebringer to be changed to something more unique looking. They couldn't care less about the particle effect.

Terena Azal was listening to Cher while typing:

Why couldn't that have worked with the necro epic?
For anyone who wants to know how fast the fight went it was about.. 20 seconds.. 18 getting general down to 80% and 2 seconds for my 4 MBer friends to burn down the rest :P
Anyways she deserved that epic alot The Rogue epic might be easy but its a big thing to some people. Its a status symbol to show someone who truely has put effort into the game. I love my epic
Grats on your epic, Isis! Did you have fun doing the quest for it? I'm actually looking forward to one day doing the quest for my Magician epic. Hell I'm looking forward to doing the quest for my Shaman epic. And my Druid epic.
I think the fun, generally, is in getting there and having something cool to show for it. Every expansion, it seems like, has weapons or combinations of equipment that are better. It's the nature of the game. And someday there'll be second epics for everyone. But getting that first one is still pretty damned cool, isn't it?

I know on my server at least there's a mile long waiting list on the General. Between Twinkbringer and the High Elf mask he's a pretty popular guy...
