  • Is it "Warcraft 2 with better graphics"?
  • Does it run choppy? If so, please list your video card.
  • Have you found any bugs with it yet?
  • Is there any unbalanced race so far (better or worse) ?

    Those are my questions

2.only when it makes a transition from battle to a story scene, Geforce 2 MX
3.Mine crashes occasionally, but I may have found the problem (a prog that runs in the background...since I've disabled it it hasn't crashed *knock on wood*)

    No,
I'd say Night Elves, due to the fact that most of their units are ranged. Especially against orcs, this is a hefty advantage.

Played two NE opponents, and ranged isn't that big of a deal. Why? Because their units are weaker because they are ranged

Guy would throw a whole army at me, and I would run just my mountain king into his archers while my knights dealt with the big troops and do a single thunder clap, bringing ALL of them into the red instantly

    I love the mountain king

Even though he has no aura, I love the little chainsaw

    2) Runs VERY well, I have yet to see any form of lag, ever
    3) It's Blizzard, of course it is I've a few into the Undead so far, and loving it

Have to say, they sure changed a LOT from the beta origially, and for the better

FINALLY human priests don't have to fully upgrade just to get heal

See, what most people aren't doing in games is upgrading

Most I've seen is a person that was +2/+1

Two games they didn't upgrade, at all

Heck, most games people didn't even build their big melee unit... orcs using grunts against abominations just isn't fair

It SO one sides combat being 3/3 against 0/0 or 1/1

ESPECIALLY since attack upgrades work differently than in BW, changing the base base and not just giving +1 damage

Oh well, not that I'm complaining, if they want to lose their entire army and only kill 2 or 3 units, that's their problem

    1) The fell of the gameplay is very similar to warcraft 2. If you didn't like warcraft 2, I doubt you will like 3. If you liked 2, you'll love 3. The new gimick of the game seems to be the heros. They advance in levels, you can choose what powers they get, and they can carry items. The plot advances like starcraft did.
    2) It runs great at 1600X1200 (i think thats the res.. the highest one) with everything on high. I have an amd 1.4 with a geforce 3.
    3) Not yet. Crashed a few times, but i'm pretty sure that's 'cause of my puter, not the game. There already is a patch out though.
    4) Couldn't tell ya yet.

ps: The collector's edition is only $15 more. Comes with cool art, posters, and a killer soundtrack. I'm quite happy I spent the extra $15 for the bonus material.

From what I've seen, here is the problem most people have Multi...

They think their hero is their army

They just use the units as help for the hero

I look at the hero as the support for my army

My hero makes them tougher, stuns units, picks off problematic casters, takes the hits for them

They seem to think their hero will win it, but they don't realize that a single unit will not win it for you, and nomatter how good it is, it can still be outnumbered, and still be killed

Favorite hero is the Mountain King, With Tauran Chieftan in a close 2nd

Orcs + Increased Attack Speed = Love

Grunts are pretty damn powerful, costing 235 gold and 3 food, they are the most expensive starting unit, and I don't get many out for quite a while. I don't like using Tauren because they take up a lot of food and I can get more grunts and raiders out than Tauren.

And as for Night Elves being the better of the four races, I strongly disagree, the only thing that throw at me that really hurts as orc, is the damn flying units, which raider's ensnare REALLY messes them up. Otherwise, my grunts and raiders usually mow right through them.

the games runs great for me with my craptastic old TnT card with he video setting set to a medium level.

Like alot of new things about the games, specially the heroes, creeps and the concept of Upkeep. The undead makes me think I am playing Starcraft. The dwarves have the funnest line of all the units. The cinamatics put all other CG to shame. Have yet to try the mulitplayer.

Also, has anyone played the single player game to the end on hard an seen the credits, I am wondering if they are diffrent? The ones on the normal setting are pretty funny.
