Song difficulty in DDR is measured in feet, and I'm still pretty new at DDR...3, to low 4s are normal for me, and 5s are a big turning point in one's DDR skills, 'cause that's when they start using all the tricky steps...
Happey!
I'da posted this last night, but I went right to bed. Very tired.
Congrats. I've never played it, but...
I'm happy for you. ^^
RIG: Yep!

Eek!
Cause I have all of no bucks.
Maybe if I could practice somewhere that people won't watch me, I would get used to the foot placement, but I can't do it at home. The people in the apartment below wouldn't much care for that, I think.
Anyway, kicking butt at that game takes alot of skill. Congrats on the improvement.

She doesn't want the nude DDR sessions taped you fruit...
You can get cheap pads, but I HIGHLY suggest getting Ignition foam pads. Very sensitive, you can feel the buttons with your feet, they don't slip...We just got them yesterday, and I LOVE them! They do cost a bit, though.

Don't play Normal mode until you're ready for it! Play Basic! Ya gotta work your way up from the bottom, that's how I did it!
i sux

Iron Chef Cadga obviously shouldn't have said:
i cant get past a 1 cm song in DDRi sux
I couldn't either, when I first stepped on a pad...
You should see vorago go at 2 pads, the man's crazy good.
But you're getting there.
Yay for DDR.
No, Really. Bite me.

You're CrazySexyCool all the time, dear.

CrazySexyCool.
that was a cheat code in Mechwarrior Mercs
Playing both pads at once is THE way to do it, it is SO much fun
I'm up to 7 feet on trick (pink) difficulty double pads so far

Katjya got all f'ed up on Angel Dust and wrote:
So it's kinda like a physical version of tetris, sorta?
Not quite...
More like, uh... the left arrow appears on the top of the screen, when it hits the middle, gotta step on left pad, or you get a 'miss'. Miss too many times, and it's game over.
quote:
Verily, Katjya doth proclaim:
Er, what the heck is DDR anyway?
Dance by arrows.
It's the best way I can explain it. Even though I don't understand it that well.
Again, now.

Actually, they appear at the bottom and move up to the top
Same thing, though.
Left arrow appears on the screen, step on the left pad when the arrow hits the center.
Or if you see the 'left and right' arrows on the screen, gotta step on both.
Stuff like that.
Another fun one is that um-jammer lammy game for PS2. It looks pretty kiddy, but it's HARD.
It looks like soo much fun...I'd have to move my PS2 downstairs so I don't shake the whole damn house :P
Played it once last year....I did Ok...and I think it was a 2-3 foot song
Jumping around on the buttons, stomping your feet on just the right pad at the right time, you work up a sweat.
