You now have the ability to blacklist users from their profile.

Blacklisted users will show up when you browse the boards with your moderator account or any account linked to it, and will show up with a sunglasses icon next to their name, like this user does.

Normal board users can not see any posts made by blacklisted users, nor can they see any threads made by blacklisted users. The user is effectively banned from the board, except that they don't know it. If someone is intent on trolling or spamming the board, this basically keeps them from creating a new account to disrupt the board -- they'll continue to troll and spam on their original account, but they won't have any idea that nobody else can see it.

Since you can see blacklisted users' posts on your normal account, do refrain from replying to them.

You should blacklist disruptive users from now on instead of banning them. Then, of course, send me a PM with details and point me to any relevant threads so I can see what took place.

The BAN USER button should only be used in extremely extremely egregious cases where blacklisting the user is not enough.

Please post in this thread (with your moderator account!) once you've read it, and I'll unsticky it when everyone's gotten a chance to see it.
