I remember a few hurricanes back that happened to our car. We were about 300 miles inland at my grandmother's when a big oak tree fell across the hood of our car. Stuck there a while needless to say.

No renters...
If it is not nessesary for putting food on the table for my girls, we don't have it. Renter's insurance was an expense we couldn't afford. We had it at one time, couldn't afford to renew. Todd said Anchor Inn has Property Damage insurance, but again he doesn't know if it is benifticial for tenants or not..

You may be able to claim under the owner's policy.
If you have renter's insurance (and you should ) that might pay.
Your insurance on the cars doesn't cover any of it?

We were VERY VERY fortunate to have it not go through the house and hit a support beam, as it only did thousands of dollars of damage. Had it fallen through, my brothers were sleeping in the hallway, and it would have fallen on them.
At least you and your kids weren't in the car at the time, Faeth. Im sure you will find a way to get things together, ya always do.
I went to work today, seems luckily the Aspire survived the trauma. So I get to work. Over the weekend, my boss and his wife went to Tulsa, ( I was SUPPOSED to go, but something came up) anyways, they bought a BRAND NEW cherry Red BMW Convertabile at the Leake Auction while they were there. Drove it all the way home.
Well turns out the "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" light kept coming on and staying on. So what do they do. They ask me and Jim to take it up to Southwest Car Care, a mechanics shop. So okay we head out. I'm driving the BMW with Jim following me. Everything started out fine, but as we were going down FM 551 it started to stall, felt like it was overheating. So we started going again trying to make it there before the car died.
Anyone wanna take a guess how this story ends?
I'll go ahead and explain. Well we keep going down the road when all of the sudden, the interior of the car fills up with smoke, so bad I can't even see. I had barely enough time to pull of the road, get out of the car, and take off running before it blew up. It had like three explosions, first the gas tank, and then both rear tires. The car burned completely to the ground, just a grey mass of char.
When they get a copy of the Police report, I'll scan it and post it here for evidence. Since I'm the one saying it, and I barely believe it myself..
It seems someone did a hack wiring job on the CD changer in the trunk, and since BMW's have the battery and the brunt of the electrical system back there. It was just plain bad wiring ignited the battery, and the rest is history. At least thats the opinion so far. It's being investigated to find the actual cause, thats just what it appears to have been at this point.

Well.. The BMW is German.. and it came from Oklahoma...
And actually I'm quit fine. Kay was happier to hear I was okay, than anything else. Besides shes uber insured. Corprate everything.
This folks, is why I only buy Chevy by choice...
