Well, last night it got really bad. EQ froze and I booted my machine, it came back up and told me there was an error launching Explorer and said to reinstall windows. So that is what I did. Once it was going, EQ decided it didnt want to patch, so I reinstalled. Still didnt want to patch, but came up with a new error. After 3 hours of asking around about the files it couldnt find, I reinstalled DX8.1. EQ patched fine, and went just fine this morning. At first it ran just fine, but now I cant get on for more than about 20 minutes before it freezes or crashes.
Now, I really need some new ideas....so, please please help me.
Oh, computer is an AMD Athelon 1.2 gig processor, nvidia GeForce2 mx/mx 400 (64 meg) video card, Creative SB Live! sound card and 640 megs of ram.
If you don't see anything there that sounds like what you have, then I would suspect it's your computer.

Sorry... can't really help ya there. I've become so aquainted with NT-based OSes that Windows95/98/ME seem almost alien to me. =/ [ 06-08-2002: Message edited by: Kegwen 2.0 ]

now, is that an ISP problem or an AIM problem. If its an ISP problem, is that the EQ problem. If so, how do I fix it?

Sure you aren't going LD every 20 minutes?
pretty sure....crash to desktop or just totally freeze, and it can be up to 20 mins, as little as 5
Also check the power supply. I had a serious problem with freezing in EQ...till I realized I needed a new power supply.
