No, your corpse will remain for 7 days, regardless of server status.
On the odd occasion that you suspect it may be gone after a server crash, head to the zone you left it in, have a bard, sk or necro try to locate it for you. 9.9 times out of 10 it'll still be around.
If it is gone, petition. Refuse to be dismissed until you've spoken to the server GM. Be polite. Be firm. Don't listen to some appy who just got the job a week ago.
