The dollar now 6% down on all world currency, and continues to fall.

The British Pound is also falling, but not as fast.

The Euro is rising fast though, as people start to believe in it more and more. Looks like the test-tube baby currency may eventually burst out as the strongest in the world.

Actually, Bloodsage, I didn't insult you now did I? All I said was "don't get into it" - if you see that as being insulting, might I suggest you lighten the fuck up and realise the universe doesn't rotate around you?

Now you can come out again with your circular logic, or claim my statements are illogical, but you and I both know you just proved the point that at as soon as something is posted that you can't fit in your narrow view of the world, you have to argue it.

The minute someone makes a valid point, you break out the personal insults, and start using circular logic, rehashing the same points in different wording, accusing people of not replying to your points, and so on ad nauseum, until they give up and you have the last word.

Oh, and as far as you telling Aanile she's neither wanted or needed, hereby she has my permission to partake in this discussion, so I guess you'll have to live with the fact she's posting here.

You are hereby spanked.

I doubt it'll take a lasting lead over the dollar any time soon, but the Euro has a lot going for it. From what I understand, there were pretty stringent requirements with regard to debt and spending for those governments who adopted it.

Only thing holding it back is the European economy.

MadCat,

You're just an ugly little troll, dude.

What the fuck was the point of your "warning" to me, if not as an insult? If you honestly think I'd take issue with your comment, you're either dense or not paying attention.

Finally, I suggest you go look up circular logic, among other things: it doesn't apply here. Further, if you insist upon accusing me of past misbehavior, I suggest you provide examples.

Trolls generally aren't welcome here. Say what you have to say without snide "warnings" intended to goad people, and you might one day have an actual conversation.

My. Your. What are these words doing in a discussion about the world economy? What it all boils down to is one word.

Our.

Our world economy has issues that need fixed. It's having an effect on our governments and finances, no matter where you live.

The US can NOT forsake those countries in need of help. It would lead to worse financial disaster for the US than helping them ever will.

Unless we just blast them off the map, but that's really not a good way to do things.

Well, why not create a poll then? Ask people to vote yes or no on whether I'm a troll. Let the masses decide.

My point of warning you is quite simple really; I had no urge to get into another argument with you. So far, any time I've said anything negative about the USA or something that could remotely be construed as such, you've gotten on my case. I'm entitled to my opinion, so are you, but the minute you try to impose your moral views - or your views of how it should be - on me, you crossed the line. Hence, I warned you not to get into it.

As I said, if that was snide or insulting, you should lighten the fuck up. If I wanted to say something to you that'd be snide or insulting, I'd put more thought into what I'd say to achieve maximum snideness. Think what you will, my reason for adding that is that I just didn't want to be doing this argument crap right about now.

And contrary to your apparent belief, I have plenty of normal conversations every day, I'm pretty sure other people around here can vouch for that.

And why would circular logic not apply here? You have used it before when replying to people - and that's not an accusation, it's fact. As far as previous examples go, I'll refer to any thread I've said negative things about the USA, with the exception of my 'the usa sucks' thread that started last year; that was indeed a troll. The rest was me stating my opinion.

Anything else?

MadCat,

Ah, yes: the blanket, "you always do it" bullshit instead of an example. Nice, but ridiculous.

Not once have I tried to impose a moral belief on anyone--quite the opposite, in fact. Which is where your problem comes in: you call all Americans sheep, based solely on your bad experience with immigration, and expect such a statement to go unchallenged.

If you think my arguments are circular, I suggest you find one, and show the world what makes it so. Either prove your accusation, or withdraw it--it's easy.

You've yet to say anything innocent and have me jump your case. It may, indeed, be your opinion that all Americans are sheep, but that doesn't give you the right to have it go unchallenged.

So--here's a neat concept--if you don't want to get into an argument, stop insulting people and start having a clue about what you're saying.

No.
The British Pound for example was at all times (as long as I live at least) worth more than the Dollar and the D-Mark (German Mark), yet it was not nearly as important as these two currencies.
