As for the Camino thing.. we're talking about a guy from a country where learning a second language is a novelty, and from a generation that thought naming a car sold in latin and french communities called the "nova" was a good idea. (It means 'no go' in both languages when pronounced.)
It's just not something that's considered by some folks, because regarding things with a 'world perspective' is a fairly new happenstance.
I just giggle and move on when things like this happen. You're not going to change the POV of the crazies, so just get some amusement from them.
