Hi,
Thank you for your message.
We have received reports of various issues with our Windows 95/98/ME/2000
game titles from users of Windows XP. All of our original Windows
95/98/ME/2000 titles were developed and tested using only the standard
Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, and Windows 2000 operating systems.
Currently our only fully tested, Windows XP compatible titles are "Star
Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds," "Star Wars: Starfighter" for the PC, and
"Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast."

Unfortunately, X-Wing and TIE Fighter are not supported for use with the
Windows XP Operating System, though in most cases, X-Wing will run if you
disable 3D hardware in the game. We've determined through customer input
along with our own testing here that these games experience various
incompatibilities which cannot be resolved by means of standard
troubleshooting.

At this time, there are no plans to provide any updates or official support
for these titles in Windows XP.

If we learn of any new information related to playing these LucasArts games
with Windows XP, we will post this information in the technical support
section of our website (http://support.lucasarts.com).

you can always set your computer to duel boot

Regret calamities if you can thereby help the sufferer; if not, attend to your own work and allready the evil begins to be repaired

You said it was one of your favorite games ever.

You smell that? Do you smell that? ...Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed for twelve hours. When it was all over I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory.

That's what I'm doing for EverQuest.

I don't know how to be sexy. If I catch a girl looking at me and our eyes lock, I panic and open mine wider. Then I lick my lips and rub my genitals. And mouth the words "You're dead."

Wouldn't that require a reformat?

So running it through one of the emulators included with WinXP won't work?
I don't have to make sense.

Mental note: When I finally get this POS repaired, set it up for dual boot.
