Manifold: Origin Is the third in a series of books by Stephen Baxter.. Its hard to explain, but they are well written, and make ya THINK about stuff.
The other two are Manifold: Time and Manifold: Space.
I reccomend 'em if ya like Sci-Fi like Heinlen, Asimov or Clark.
