I've been asking most of my friends about this problem, but no one have been able to find an answer.
The thing is, I can't view these 2 different homepages: www.magelo.com and www.corona-mundi.de. I do not have any firewalls that I know about, and none of the pages are blocked.
I'm using Internet explorer 5.5 right now, but I tried to download netscape just to see if that browser would find the pages, but it didn't work. Also been trying to ping the 2 different URLs, but I don't get any message at all, just a black window that closes itself after a while. (using run in win 98 2nd edition)
My computer is also the "server" in my home network, so the internet access goes via my comp. But all the other computers can reach the pages, just not mine.
Tried to turn off the internet sharing program, but that didn't help.
I was hoping that perhaps any of you guys here know what to do, since alot of you seem to be working with computer.
Thanks alot

If you can ping it but can't browse there, I'd update your browser.
What version of Windows are you using?
If you can't even ping the pages, I'd suggest flushing the DNS. In Win2K/XP, it's easily done by going to a command prompt and typing in 'ipconfig /flushdns'. For Windows 95/98/ME, you just reboot.
Stay this time!
I'd try pinging first, see if you even CAN ping the pages.
If you can't, reboot. If you can, I would suggest reinstalling TCP/IP and Winsock.

Seems like they have been trying to ping with no success.
Drys, I assume the status bar is this gray bar under the window. (correct?) Nothing unusal there, just opening page http://www.magelo.com/... and after a long time of loading, it says done, and the normal error page shows up, like when you type the URL wrong or the page is down.
