Normally, I wouldn't be looking forward to this so much...

Everyone was saying Hi-Ho in the commercials... They were funny, but I think you missed out on them.

No, I'm afraid I lost them, and the message board search function WILL NOT FIND THEM.

I've searched all Delidgamond's posts, all posts with the word "Japan" or "Panasonic" in them, but I can not find them!!

Been there. Done that.

Couple of words of advice for you...

  1. Knuckles do NOT belong on the Grill.
  2. You're more likely to burn your knuckles after you've been there a while and have developed the ability to toss the spatula around as you work
  3. ALWAYS be busy when it's time to do the onions.
  4. Always remember to drop more fries/tots/onion rings than you need twords the end of the night (this is management dependant, my managers let me take the extra crap home. )
  5. Don't worry about the orders comming in. I've seen people roll up at 10am and order 50 SuperSonic Jalapeno burgers. Just take your time, make sure you dress them properly. If the customer bitches, it's his fault for ordering something that insane.
  6. Never turn down a hug from a Car Hop. Especially nice blonde Car Hops.
  7. NEVER add too much cherry to your coke.
  8. Cherry, Lime, Vanilla, Chocolate coke is typically a bad thing.
  9. Never let your boss catch you and a carhop nude in the freezer (happened to a friend of mine. Got fired after he *cough* finished the job)

That's all I got for now... hehe

Remember the "Knuckles expansion" thingy that was a game in itself, but also piggie-backed like a Game Genie and was supposed to add Knuckles to all your old Sonic games, but it only really worked with one or two other games?

That was a neat idea.

Uhm...I know I had something on-topic to add...

Oh yeah.

Working at Sonic sounds a lot like my days working at the burger joint in Kennywood. The only difference is the rampant theft. We'd come in in the mornings and fix ourselves a hamburger for breakfast before opening. We'd snatch french fries left and right. When anyone we liked ordered from the stand, we'd hook them up with extra fries, two beef patties, extra cheese whatever. Particularly if they worked there and were eating on thier break and had to wait in line.

The management didn't see it, but they knew, and they didn't care. I think they felt a little guilty about paying us less than minimum wage* and working us 60+ hours a week, so they just let it slide.

*factoid: in PA amusement parks are seasonal, and seasonal jobs aren't bound to pay minimum wage

Is Sonic's like the Steak and Shake in the southern states? The only thing we have up here in the Northeast is Burger King or McDonalds, or Wendy's (my favorite!). These chains crush most other burger joints up here.

Some jobs aren't bad. Some are absolutely horrible. The problem is you have no control over what job you get.

The pay is very low, but they have no qualms about hiring you when you're under 16 so long as you have a work permit, so it's a great job for kids.

Hehe Zephy, its better than nothin, right?

I dont have the guts to work fast food after 8 months at blockbuster. *shudder*

They need to pass a law that everyone has to work 6 months in some sort of position where they serve a customer directly.

Its amazing how much that changed how i talk to people when I go to stores
