If I were at a relatively low level, as I am now, I'd probably just start a new character. If I were fairly high, though, I'd probably quit for a while.

There was one on Test once. 6/20/00. Sadf

A good number of people left (about 200, and quite a few of them were the old guard too, SUX). However, the server was then flooded with people. ~800 people, 1-10. Meep.

Then when we Test regulars threatened to burn down Verant and murder their children (not really ), they re-wiped the server and brought back our characters, however they were all nekkie.

Not everyone came back after that though

It was caused by a loot bug in SolB. Kobolds were dropping naggy lewt... and instead of reporting it, everyone rushed there to grab all they could. Greedy bastages

...

I dont think I could EVER start again. I havent even gotten another character besides Delphi above level 14..

I wouldnt be able to bear starting over again. Thats the reason im not gettin into other games as much, due to having a high level character with loads of time invested in EQ.

I'd go back. I've played the same character for almost 3 years now and I'm still only level 30... I think I must be doing something right because I still enjoy it.

I'd be more aless unphased. I would maybe quit. Maybe not. Hard to tell since my highest is lvl 16....

I might then go get AO or re-re-re-install DAoC and re-restart my account.

Call me crazy, but I'd love to restart.

Always wanted a fresh server for me and a group of 6 friends to start on, but it doesn't seem like that will happen anytime soon!

Quite frankly, I wouldn't care if EQ did an all character wipe. I wouldn't really care if AO or DAoC did that either. It is just a game, after all. And starting over again would be a good refreshing experience.

Well, if I still played EQ, you can bet I'd be pissed, but I'd still restart. It would be like Norrath just got nuked, and now we have to rebuild EQ's society. A bit of a post-apocalypse sorta setting.

Yah, I think I would restart. It's not like I have any high level characters anyway.

As it is right now, I wish I could switch some of my character names. I can't bring myself to delete the current "Palador" to reuse the name, but if all the characters got wiped it wouldn't be as bad.

I believe in the existance of magic, not because I have seen proof of its existance, but because I refuse to live in a world where it does not exist.
