Anyone here done this before?

Need suggesstions on how to do so.

Im sure up until around 25-30, its about the same as a melee. DS, heal, blablabla

after that, though, how to do about it?

I'd generally advise a Druid/Enchanter team for a Wizard.

Druid plops down the usual DS, Skin and heals. Enchanter uses highest available berserker spell and clarity/haste.

Have Wizard melee, nuking as often as possible. I've never PLed a wizard past 35, so I can't comment after that.

Pre 20:

Druid with damage shield, regen, skin like nature.

Post 20:

High level enchanter. Nukes. Memory blur.

If you've got a mage handy you could let the pet melee the mob down to a bit of life and then reclaim and let the wizard finish it off. The skills won't go up much but that's easy to fix. Just be sure to bring along a lot of malachite.
I don't have to make sense.

Got a friend helping me level said wizzie on another server.

Friend has: High level druid, cleric, pally, chanter.

Was funny today. I was running around misty thicket with all sorts of stuff on me. I at one point had about 15 things mad at me in front of the tunnel to RE. sure, they all couldnt attack me, so they were running around like freakin crazy. was nuts.

Memory Blur and Atonement (Or is it just Atone?) work real well... I Sorta PLed (Eh, they were even con) off the Spectres in Oasis when a level 60 Paladin and Level 55 Cleric decided to pull and atone Spectres for me.

High level pally? Keep 'em 'round for the pure HP buffline (DV, DG, DS/BMB). They last a while for ya, stack with everything, and .. stuff. Other then that, yeah, Cleric/atone or Enchanter/memblur. Either works.

For getting from 25 to 34 abuse a warrior in Dreadlands.

Get a slightly lower level warrior, group with the Wiz, continue PL'ing the warrior.

After you hit 34 it's just a matter of Quadding. You get an AE snare at 34 and I'm sure you can locate a source for GC2 or C3...

Atone only works -for sure- up till level 35.

After that is a gamble.

At 50+ it pretty much doesnt work.

29, Bonds of Force. That's our first AE Snare...

Quadding, however, isn't as easy as everyone seems to think it is, and there's about 1 AE spell useful for Quadding below level 50. The others are so awfully mana inefficient it's not even funny (This one's not quite efficient either, but, You'll have to make due, I guess).

We had the Druids in my guild talking about how much easier it would be if they could quad kite like Wizards could... Wizards protested, and we proceeded to analyze the Druid and Wizard pre-50 AEs to the Druid Pre-50 AEs.... Well, Druids beat us for Quadding in all aspects of AEing...

Really, before 50, what we have over them is the AE Snare instead of the individual snare. (Of course, they can also cast a fast, low mana cost, Snare, for a much longer time, and SoW themselves, *shrug*)

And for kiting, get Wolf Form if ya can, it's real helpful.

As for PLing, it's pretty hard to do, if you don't do the Damage-work down and Aggro-clear methods (Mem Blur, Atone, Reclaim Energy on Pets, etc).

Outside of that, All I can see possibly is having a Necro twitch you, or Mod Rods and Healers...

I thought it was 34.... Been a while since I've talked with my roommate about his wiz...

And did you notice the part about GC2 or C3? Who cares about mana inefficency when you have more mana than you can really burn on hand? Plus you only have to do half damage per mob. Enchanter nukes are ungodly efficient and at the levels the Chanter has GC2/C3 it's not going to resist much.

Wow, apparently I've been out of th loop... Is C3 Clarity 3, I'm assuming? (Koadic's?)
GC2? Uhh... Greater Clarity 2?
New Acronyms bother Lashy...

Yeah, if you can find a nice constant spawn, that'd be good (I'm assuming those spells really would provide the wizard with as much mana as he/she needed...)

Group Clarity 2 and Koadics, yes.

C2 on someone in their 20s or 30s is just insane.

Not on group buffs. Group and have the caster target themselves, it'll hit everyone in the group.
