For the first few hours after the patch, the Lost Temple of Cazic Thule was normal. Old green mobs nothing new. Then there was a systemwide annoucement warning of deadly changes coming soon. A few hours later, a GM appeared in CT and shouted that the zone was being repopped in 1 minute, and that we shuold all get to a safe spot, perferablly out of zone, and offered to summon people to the zone line before the repop. As he repopped it, he said 'be ready... or be dead.' He wasn't joking...

I've died twice at the zone in so far, once because the cleric couldn't heal after the repop, and 2nd because someone trained the zone and I got summoned.

So far, these are the changes I've seen:

- Its now called the Accursed Temple of Cazic Thule
- Entry mobs, all blue to 60. A level 54 reported shortly before his death that they were blue, even, and yellow. They hit on average in the 100s, and up to 220 that I've seen.
- From the courtyard, most mobs on track were blue to me, but there were quite a few even cons. Before I got summoned back to the zone from a train, I saw a yellow con named on track.

This should be fun... I have a feeling its gonna become Antonica's Karnors

And you can still be free, If time will set you free
And going higher than the mountain tops
And go high like the wind don't stop...

All the old drops from CT now drop in the Ferrott outside the temple, off mobs that are the same level as CT used to be.

Both. The mobs have crazy amounts of HP now (imho), and aren't really worth it for one group. (Mid 50's)

Oh, good. Another mid-level zone is now a 50 and up and club.

When I can make a character that starts at level 40 or so, this won't annoy me anymore.

There is still much more low-mid level content than high level. It's just that the low-mid level people all flock to the same zones. Though I'm having a hard time trying to think of any other low level zone that was made into a 50+ zone.(Exagerate much? )

Plus, it just makes sense to do things like that. The average level of players has skyrocketed into the 50's. There are no longer more low level people than high.

I was just there and all I have to say is this:

OMG!!!!

My druid and a 51 monk guild m8 went there to see what was shaken. He told me all the mobs were yellow to 51. I did a track, ALL mobs were red to 45(some green ones in the mix tho).

We pulled on, couldnt heal him fast enough(greater heal hehe). He had to fd, and all I saw was 190 190 190 148 190 190 loading please wait. hehe

We did manage to kill one with some cleric help, it dropped a 7/22 1hb Bane Dmg: Lizard(something I forget)
A chanter got a 5ac 11cha 35mana Enchanter only bracer that dropped off a Tiger raptor there.(smalllllll lookin verstion of the one in WL)

On track, here is some of the mobs I can remember: A tigerraptor, a frenzied(I think) tiger raptor, a shiver back, a ferious shiverback(I think thats ferious), some type of pirana, ALOT of those lizard men, a mosquito(I forget name), Jungle something, and a few others that I cant remember hehe.

Im getting a group and heading there with miandor now~

I'm right in the 29-34 level range on Quellious and I like to travel around to see new places. It seems to me that everyone lives in Kunark and vacations in other places =). I've been to Sol A, Mistmoore, the Moon, Unrest, Warrens, CT, etc, etc. The only consistent place I have seen besides anywhere in Kunark for mid level characters has been either High Keep, Unrest or Paw (RM if your feeling lucky =). There is a good chance if I go to most other places there is 10 or less ppl in the dungeon (discounting raids of course). However, I do not claim to be an expert, if someone has any ideas on where to go please let me know. My 2 cents

Most of them are twinks. Verant released some statistics a while back and something like 60-70% of the active accounts had at least one character above level 50. I don't remember the exact number and am too lazy to try to find it. ;P

This is good, it means more variety to people of that level. Can't wait until I'm high enough to see the renovation.

It was severely under-utilized before anyway. It always seemed almost abandoned, like Runnyeye used to be before it was revamped.

Expect this to happen to other zones if Verant sees their use decline. In order to hold players' interest, the game can't be allowed to stagnate.

I wonder if they'll ever bother to change Kaesora... it has the opposite problem of CT, instead of being too easy to bother with, it's too hard to mess with. This has more to do with the zone's geography and layout than the mobs present. I remember my short tour of the zone, when a GM can wandering by. Scouting for possible changes, maybe? It's possible. Or maybe he was just bored. All I know is Kaesora is severely under-used, very few people of the appropriate level ever bother fighting there.

Almost all the new content going in the game is 50 and up. Heck, there's a whole continent for "endgame" shenanigans. How much more variety do they really need right now?
This trend contributes to a lack of low level characters. The game is becoming increasingly inaccesible for new characters, to say nothing of new players.

And to answer your question, zones that have had their level range drastically bumped up (while not neccesarily to the 50 level) include Runnyeye, Paw, Befallen, Kithicor, and now CZ, and on top of that, two of the freebie zones, Stonebrunt and the Hole, are 40 and up. So nyah

[EDIT] And besides, I'll guarantee you that everyone and their brother will flock to new CZ for two weeks, and then it's back to ToV with the lot of them.

Uhh.. Paw was bumped from a 20's zone to a 30's zone. Not exactly a huge move, and it's still a low-mid level zone. Runnyeye is the same exact level now as it was before, it's just got new mobs with new drops. Befallen was a short time only thing, and Kithicor is still the same during the day, and is actually a great hunting spot for the 35-40's.(Again, still mid level)

So..

Nyah.

Oh, I didn't know they changed Befallen back.

Runnyeye is not the same level. Looking back, it isn't strictly 40 and above like I originally said, but it is higher.

Kith is only half as useful for new characters as it used to be. And it's deadly for new players. They nerfed Kith!

And then there was the Lesser Faydark fiasco, which was mercifully done away with.
