East Berlin rock star betrayed by all the people he/she loves portrayed in a rather punkish/grunge musical movie adapted from the Broadway hit of same name...in a nutshell. Very good movie.

This movie totally ruled! I watched it just a couple of weeks back, and within 20 minutes, I realized I must own the soundtrack. At points, it is very minimalist, and then without a second's notice, will blow up into some huge over the top musical number.

It's not a movie for everyone... that much I will say.

i loved it!
