Everybody has a moment in a movie, that stands out in thier mind. Something creepy, kooky, mysterious, spooky, or all together ooky.

What stands out in your mind?

Mine is from Ford Fairlane. Ford is going through his dead friends boat, lookin for clues, ala scooby doo, and opens the medicine cabinet, to see Robert Englund's face.

Allo, allo.

that was fuckin creepy.

who's next?

The scene in Event Horizon.

I shouldn't have to say anything more about it for you to know which.

Oh jeez, there are a zillion of them like that But I try not to think about the movie too much anyway. Skeery shazbot!
No, Dr. Grant, no!

[EDIT] Oh yeah, this is the part where I rattle off a spooky movie moment... now let me see.
The very, very end of Blair Witch. That always makes me shiver.

Once more into the breach, my friends, once more. We'll close the wall with our dead. In peace, nothing so becomes a man as modesty and humility, but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger, summon up the blood, disguise fair nature with rage and lend the eye a terrible aspect.

The part where I fell asleep, or the part where I woke up to take a piss, and stop that lame ass movie, and go to bed?

That entire movie was creepy... except for the parts that were so boring I almost fell asleep. Whether it was creepy, disgusting, or boring... there was no part of the movie where it was easy for me to keep my eyes open.

I remember quite clearly a nightmare I have when I was two, triggered by this picture of Cookie Monster that my bed faced. I remeber the dream perfectly, the picture was glowing and laughing... terrified me at the time. Looking back on it, I can still remember how I felt, but not what made me feel that way. I remember being scared, but can't remember what exactly it was that scared me.

Lots of The Blair Witch Project was like that... I remember the closing scene, with one of the characters facing the wall, before the camera fell. Creeped me out at the time. Looking back on it, most of that movie seems stupid to me, but I did feel the suspense at the time I first saw it.

That movie made me realize that the thing that disturbs me far more than zombies (which give me serious heebie-jeebies...Night of the Living Dead scared the shit out of me as a kid) is empty eye sockets.

*shudders* damn it now I'm feeling wary.

Any movie with zombies in it tends to freak me out. Vampires I can handle, werewolves I can handle, mummies and evil sorcerers and fish men and man-made-men and aliens and stuff...all that I can handle. But there's something about the shambling masses of undead that bullets can't stop...moaning softly, drawing closer and closer...and the last thing you feel as the crushing mass of them overcome you are their dead, rotting teeth biting into your skin...

*shudders* ah crap I'm getting the hell out of this thread before I give myself a serious case of the willies.

The first half of Event Horizon was awesome

But the 2nd half dived on the 'scary' factor

Granted the first half was like the single scariest half a movie ever

(spoiler if you haven't seen it)
That was a good movie. But my friends and I can't stop laughing over this one part, where Neil is aiming the gun at Fishburne and says "What makes you think I'll miss?"

One of my friends screamed out "Because you've got no eyes!"

That wasn't the really funny part...the funny part was that he DID miss, buahahaha!

(Spoiler if you're so incredibly PRIVELAGED to HAVE NOT SEEN this stupid movie.)

They all go into a house. They're wandering around, somehow they split up. Then only one without a camera is gone, and one of the two with a camera is in the basement. He's standing, facing something. You can't tell what. Then the guy with his camera on Mister No-Response, he drops his. Everything goes black.

BTW, the girl was the only one without a camera, and you could hear her screaming her stupid bitch head off the whole time, if I remember right.
