While I sit here I was wondering about a few things that I thought I would post because it seems rather intresting and always causes somebody to react either positively or negatively. Opinions are always the key to a forum after all.

Why is it we strive so hard to get thru life with just the mindset that we must achieve so much. Why is it that we continue to fall into what we believe is true success only to find out that when we die it all vanishes. Now there is no saying that maybe in the afterlife we have forgotten what we have learned before but it seems to hit my mind quite often. For instance many people are born and slowly grow up with the joy that their world seems simple and they are content with this. I guess if I was to look at it in any manner I would say a child finds that its world is such a place where there is no true worry and has no real vision of death to come. For me that shows true success in the meaning of happiness. Again I mention the word success. In some dictionaries you could find it as a measurement of joy and in others you can find it as accomplishing a goal or objective. We live today and tomorrow and the next day that we must get somewhere in order to be successful. We must have this major degree and this top dollar respectful job. Or to have a family where everything is perfect. Is it in todays social culture that we have lost grasp on what life is and have become engulfed in a process of semi repetitve behavior. Its not until you’re either a teen losing his teenhood or a elder man close to the end of his years to you realize for a period of time that maybe what you have or what you had long ago was really the success you were looking for. Is it our cultures that tell us that we must live our lives a certain way and we must conform to every whim that it dictates or is it our own desire to make a mark before we leave into the unknown. This is something that crosses my mind all to often and now I leave it to cross yours.

-Its only in the deep mind can you find the reason to dwindle upon hope in whatever desire you may wish for. Be careful for the mind also holds the darkness to your own wishes and in those dark pits sits a convincing soul.

I was in the Virgin Islands once. I met a girl, we ate lobster, drank piña coladas. At sunset, we made love like sea otters. That was a pretty good day. Why couldn't I get that day over, and over?

Well uh, we have nothing else to do and we're bored. So we have to do stuff to pass the time.

Lesson One

Paragraphs are your friend. We enjoy it when things are seperated by paragraphs. It's easier on our eyes.

Easier = Good.

If your paragraphs are strewn all willy nilly, you look like a buffoon. You're probably not a buffoon, so why look like one?

I don't think he's new. Check out the subscription that he has - comped for seniority. He must've been lurking around here for a long time.

And yes, I recognize the irony of this statement.
